A Evening with the Legend
If you’re look for a traditional JL concert where he plays all his hit tunes, this is not the show for you. It’s an autobiography about his life. His life is amazing where he goes into detail about his journey to becoming what he is today. It’s a solo performance. He did not sing my favorite tune PDA🤦🏽♀️. It’s still worth seeing

Too Much Talk!
Beacon Theatre - New York
It was like a biography of his life from when he was a child to growing up too much talking trying to be a comedian. He was not funny doing little skits of other musicians that was boring getting into his wife’s beliefs about injustice and brutality.. this is not what I paid money to go see John Legend perform because he is a great piano player and a great singer, when he wasn’t talking

An Evening with John Legend
Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Event Center - Tampa
As expected, John put on a great show. Very intimate and personal; just John and his piano. Love how he interact with the audience. At all his shows, he tells a shortened version of his life story and how he got to where he is. This particular show, you got to know so much more about him. As a fan, I loved it.

Manipulative and abbreviated
Tilles Center Concert Hall - Brookville
My wife and I were looking forward to an emotionally uplifting concert by Mr. Legend. Instead, we were dissappointed. He is very talented, but, the scheduled start time was 8:30. It started at 8:40. Intermission came quickly at 9:30. At the end of each song, spot lights from above the stage would suddenly turn on and glare into our eyes, presumably and seemingly manipulatively to garner applause. Perhaps he was tired from travel or just did not want to be there.

An amazing night with John Legend
Premier Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino - Mashantucket
This was not only a concert it was a journey through this artists life and career which made it all worth it in my opinion as a true John Legend fan. Will be looking out for his next tour.

Loved John Legend. What a voice and piano playing outstanding. But loved even more the stories he told of his life...very interesting, wanted more. Wish he would have come back for a "last call", I wasn't ready to go!

Not your typical concert
Tilles Center Concert Hall - Brookville
This was "An Evening with John Legend,"as noted on the screen on arrival. The artist did more talking than singing. He shared his entire life story and incorporated songs that related to what he spoke about in between his stories. He even had his life broken down into stages on a Power Point presentation (photos included). I enjoyed the evening. He is funnier than I thought and the insight gained into his life and how he became a Legend was great. He sang other persons songs and some of his songs that are not very popular. If you are looking for a concert where you expect him to sing his hit songs all night long, you may be disappointed with this experience. It lasted 2 hours and it was just him and the piano with the exception of when he sang wonder woman to an instrumental on vinyl.
JOHN LEGEND IN CONCERT:
Piano virtuoso and vocal crooner John Legend has had fans awestruck ever since his 2004 debut album Get Lifted. Whether he's performing hits at the 56th Grammy Awards or collaborating with some of R&B's top acts, John Legend doesn't need much in order to deliver an exceptional live show. Often playing with just a solo grand piano, he allows his soulful vocals to be at the forefront as he treats concertgoers to hits like "Ordinary People" and "All Of Me." Legend will continue to reward fans with his smooth slow-jams on a string of intimate upcoming tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
John Legend got his start in music at an early age, playing piano and performing in his church choir. While in college, Legend led the a cappella group Counterparts, but it wasn't until collaborating with Lauryn Hill on her song "Everything Is Everything" that his career started to bloom. His 2004 debut album Get Lifted was the catalyst that sparked his rise to stardom, earning gold certification and three Grammy Awards. Since then, Legend has released four acclaimed albums, earned nine Grammy Awards, and collaborated with some of music's greatest hip hop icons including Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige and the Black Eyed Peas. His 2013 album Love In The Future was met with positive reviews, peaking at No. 2 on the US Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and featuring the love song "All Of Me," a platinum hit in the US. Back on the road, John Legend is sure to delight fans with his romantic ballads on a string of highly anticipated tour dates.
