Lula Washington Dance Theatre Tickets

I saw them in the evening and the performance was terrific, five stars, the same as the last time I saw them perform about three years ago. However, I also saw their morning performance, given to students from schools in the area, and in comparison, it was terrible. The few dances were still amazing but it was mostly talk - one woman who loves to hear herself kept yakking on and on. EVERY SINGLE one of my students came back to school and said the same: It was OK but there needs to be more dancing and way less talking.

Inspiring entertainment! Superbly talented dancers and choreography. Uplifting! I left with a huge smile on my face!

Beautiful theater, and Beautiful show! I would highly recommend this to anyone.

The dancers were incredible and my 6-year old daughter was just amazed on the performances. I would definitely see it again and I consider it a "must-see" for anyone interested in dancing. My only complaint was that they changed the order of the performances and ended up leaving 2 dance routines out (with one being a MLK tribute.....for real....in Memphis). Other than that, I was extremely impressed with the presentation and will not hesitate to see more productions from Mrs. Washington.

It was my first time at The Orpheum Theatre, Memphis! The theatre is ornate and beautiful. All of the dancers were strong, beautiful, fit and extremely talented. The show left me waiting for more. I wish it would have lasted longer than it idid.

The themes for the dances was spot on. The dancers did an excellent job. The music and narration was fabulous. I would recommend this show to friends and family. This show was a good introduction to get young kids interested in dance.
