About

In an empty theatre, on a bare stage, casting for a new Broadway musical is almost complete. For 17 dancers, this audition is the chance of a lifetime. It's what they've worked for - with every drop of sweat, every hour of training, every day of their lives. It's the one opportunity to do what they've always dreamed -- to have the chance to dance.  This is A Chorus Line, the musical for everyone who's ever had a dream and put it all on the line.  This singular sensation is the longest-running American Broadway musical ever.  Now A Chorus Line returns.  Come meet the new generation of Broadway's best. "A Chorus Line is back, and it's thrilling!" - John Lahr, The New Yorker.

Chorus Line Provides an uplifting evening

by RMAV on 4/8/18Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - Boise

I have attended many musicals at the Morrison Center but this is the first time that I have purchased tickets in the upper mezzanine. Chorus line is a dance master piece. From our seats, we could observe both the front and back row dancers. Our seats were high flying, low cost and it is a credit to the Morrison Center as a facility that the evening was fabulous. I had been worried that we wouldn't be able to see or hear well. At least in the case of this musical, our seats were fabulous and we had an enjoyable evening.

    Meh

by SDL7 on 4/7/18Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - Boise

I'm starting to think that the stage of the Morrison Center is too small for most touring shows. The dancers seemed cramped. Overall, the show was nothing special. There was very little energy - even during the last number. Some voices cracked and sounded raspy. Maybe the cast was tired?

Very enjoyable throughout! The background music kept us glued to the stage.

Chorus line was a different kind of show.

by Poorhows on 3/29/18Fox Performing Arts Center - Riverside

The acting as usual was terrific but after leaving the show I felt I learned a lesson about the brutal competition for survival. brutal is the only word I can use to describe their line of work. Wow!

A great show that you couldn't really hear!

by frompau on 3/29/18Fox Performing Arts Center - Riverside

I love A Chorus Line and it's been one of my favorite musicals for years. I sat high up in the balcony, like I did the last time I watched it years ago, but it seems the Fox has some problems with volume. The singing and music volume for the most part was fine, but you could only hear about 30% of the lines the actors were saying. The only reason I was able to follow along with the story line was because I knew what to listen for because I've watched the musical and movie several times before; I can't imagine how difficult it must have been to understand anything if it was someone's first time watching. I could tell that the other audience members around me were having trouble hearing as well because they were leaning in and I could hear them asking each other what a character just said. Frankly kind of ruined the whole experience. The only reason I said I'd recommend this to a friend is because the play itself is a great play.

    Couldn’t understand the lines

by KaSue on 3/29/18Fox Performing Arts Center - Riverside

Between the low volume of the voices and the fast pace the lines were delivered, we couldn’t understand much of the dialogue. We couldn’t get the words on many songs as well.Dancing was great!
