About

For over fifteen years, Marc Maron has been writing and performing raw, honest and thought-provoking comedy for print, stage, radio and television.  A legend in the stand-up community, he has appeared on HBO, Conan, Letterman, his two Comedy Central Presents specials and almost every show that allows comics to perform. His book based on his solo show, The Jerusalem Syndrome: My Life as a Reluctant Messiah, is out of print and overpriced by vendors who think it might have some collectors value. His three CDs, "Not Sold Out', ‘Tickets Still Available' and ‘Final Engagement' are comedy cult classics. This year, Marc headlined an episode of Comedy Central's John Oliver's NY Stand-Up Show and was ranked #7 in Comedy Central's annual Stand-Up Showdown. His podcast "WTF with Marc Maron," featuring in-depth interviews with comedy icons like Robin Williams and Ben Stiller, averages 160,000 listeners per week.

    Hey, it’s Marc!

by Chuck in Madtown on 4/6/24Barrymore Theatre - Madison

All around great experience. Not even the drunk idiots next to me could ruin it. Great opener, great set, everything I was hoping for. Marc was cool enough to hang out a bit after the show and listened to me stumble over my words when I got to talk to him. He was very cool about it though, and I walked away a bigger fan than I was before. The guy is genuinely grateful for his fans gave me a human interaction that I won’t forget. If you like Marc, see him live.

    Excellent Show!

by Shellie W. on 3/25/24Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

Marc Maron is a consummate professional. His show was hilarious- so smart and darkly funny, well-developed without losing any of his trademark edgy, spontaneous wit. I appreciated that he held the show while people tried to find parking in Buckhead on a chilly, rainy night. While I prefer several other similarly-intimate ATL venues to this one, I was pleased with the experience. You killed, Marc Maron - all thumbs up.

    Richard Lewis on steroids!

by Johnny Kay on 3/25/24Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

Have been a long time fan of Marc Maron from watching his old show on TV, but never had the chance to attend a live standup performance. I was not disappointed. I would compare him to Mark Twain, but with an edge. A lot bluer than he could be on TV, a terrific humorist.

One of the most hilarious shows ever

by Scott McDada on 3/25/24Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

I've been a fan for a few years, only recently of his podcast, but he's quickly shot up to the top of the list of my favorite comedians and interviewers. His show was nearly perfect in tone, tempo, and attitude. Even hecklers were handled with aplomb. He handles controversial topics with incredible skill, veering between the serious and crass with incredible agility. Righties, please don't cry too much. No one wants to see that.

    Fantastic night!

by Jmp on 3/11/24Chevalier Theatre - Medford

Marc never disappoints. We laughed through the entire performance! The venue was cool, but the seats were as hard solid wood could be! I’ll bring my own cushion next time. 🤣
