The venue at the cosmopolitan is very comfortable. It has a lot of air flow through. It seem to have a lot of space at any time you could move about the general admission area! Had a really nice time.

Brought Me To Tears
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas - Las Vegas
The venue: The max capacity was 2000, so it was on the smaller side aka intimate. However, the venue staff acted as if they'd never had a concert there before and the show started late. We had GA tickets and the floor was so hard that everyone was exhausted from having to stand around for an additional hour.
The opening acts: The two opening acts were cute. They were clearly passionate and wanted to do well, but they desperately needed help with their sound. I could have done without either of their performances (see comment about the show starting late).
Jane's Addiction: OMG my inner teenager's heart was all aflutter! They were so good and sounded amazing! They had zero problems with their sound! In fact it was such a good show and brought back so many memories that I became overwhelmed and cried with joy. The band also seemed to be having a good time, everyone was smiling and happy. The energy was so positive! I loved every minute of it!!

Good but they ignored Strays and Great Escape Artist albums completely. There are some great songs on those!

Terrible
Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno
We left early as did many other people. It was quite bad. The lead singer seemed unnatural and totally choreographed. He was not a bad singer, but it was just a bad show. Also the songs they sang were not the bands best. I am sure they played some of their big songs at the end, but we were gone already.

Obstructed view was not disclosed
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas - Las Vegas
We spent close to $500 for tickets & there was a huge beam right in front of our seats. Obstructed view was not disclosed by Ticketmaster. Not sure how they can get away with that. Shown was amazing and convert venue was good otherwise.

Would be great to know the call time for the main band and any opening acts. Doors had opened at 6 and Jane's didn't go on until 9:30. I would have showed up later that night.
Bio
JANE’S ADDICTION IN CONCERT:
Alternative rock pioneers Jane’s Addiction have awed fans with superior musicianship and over-the-top showmanship for more than three decades, and they’re still going strong. The band's potent blend of alt-rock, metal, and punk is pure sonic boom and their live shows are equally explosive, flooring fans with full-throttle funk metal shredding and far-out visual spectacles. Flamboyant frontman and Lollapalooza founder Perry Ferrell commands the stage with cocksure rock star swagger, pumping up the crowd with wild-eyed intensity until they reach a blissed-out state of rock nirvana. Superstar guitarist Dave Navarro is equally magnetic, shaking fans to the core with his high-octane riffage on scorching favorites like “Stop”, “Been Caught Stealing”, and “Mountain Song”. Jane's Addiction are alt-rock legends for a reason, and their fun and freaky live performances are a can't-miss experience for any alt-rock fan worth their salt.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Singer Perry Ferrell formed Jane’s Addiction with original bassist Eric Avery in 1985, eventually teaming up with guitarist Dave Navarro and drummer Stephen Perkins. The group exploded on LA’s underground rock scene, attracting the attention of Warner Bros. Records, who commissioned the group’s 1987 self-titled debut. The following year they released their sophomore album Nothing’s Shocking, which they supported as an opening act on tour with Iggy Pop and The Ramones. With the 1990 release of Ritual de lo Habitual the band became a household name, as singles “Stop” and “Been Caught Stealing” raced up the alternative charts. Despite their breakthrough success, the group imploded in the early '90s over heavy drug use, as half the band tried to get clean while the other half partied on. After the break up Ferrell found success in the mid-'90s with his new band Porno for Pyros while Navarro became one of the most in-demand guitarists of the decade, playing with everyone from Red Hot Chili Peppers and Nine Inch Nails to Janet Jackson and Alanis Morissette. Things remained icy between the two until they buried the hatchet in the early '00s, thrilling fans with a string of Jane's Addiction shows and the 2003 album Strays. The band has been back full-time since 2008, continuing to rock legions of fans with their pioneering funk metal sound and live-wire performances.
