MAGIC IN CONCERT:
Canadian reggae fusion band MAGIC! scored the unofficial song of summer 2014 with their international smash hit "Rude". The talented foursome may be new to the scene, but their impeccable songwriting and relaxed vibe have already made them live favorites among fans of upbeat, reggae-inflected pop music. With "Rude" climbing the charts in 35 countries, the band has fans around the world eagerly waiting to experience the magic of their live tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
MAGIC! was formed in Toronto in 2012 by Nasri Atweh, Mark Pellizzer, Alex Tanas, and Ben Spivak. Their 2013 debut single "Rude" was an international hit, reaching No. 2 in the US, Australia, and New Zealand and peaking at No. 6 in their native Canada. Their success continued in early 2014 with an appearance on the Shakira track "Cut Me Deep" and a featured song on the official FIFA World Cup album. Their debut LP Don't Kill the Magic hit shelves in summer of 2014, and with "Rude" already is being called the "song of the summer" by The Today Show, the album is sure to be featured heavily at BBQs and pool parties the world over. With live chops that match their songwriting prowess, MAGIC! are sure to have fans awestruck on their future tour dates.
Magic! Was so amazing!! Topgolf was perfect small venue the band was able to come out and dance with the crowd they were so good played a bunch of favorites and covers I wish they were playing more cities I would for sure see them again in a heartbeat! I drove from SLC to see them would do it again 10x over :) :)
Great band, lots of fun. Loved the Topgolf venu. Not too crowded and i was upclose with the band.
I had never heard of Danny Mercer before this concert, but he was incredible, you can't help but move. MAGIC! was even better than I had imagined and Nasri has the best moves ;) I only wish it had lasted longer, can't wait for them to be back!
Magic! was the most interactive and fun concert that I have ever attended. Their incredible, high-energy music had the crowd so engaged that you just couldn't help but to feel good, move your body, dance, and sing. Magic was fantastic and was so “true” to their music. Magic! are some of the most extremely talented musicians. Also, the House of Blues (San Diego) was great and allowed for a very intimate experience. I can’t wait to attend another MAGIC! concert!
I went to the Maroon 5 concert at the Forum and Magic! were one of the openers. I love their vibes. They are a really good band with high energy. I would definitely recommend seeing them! I would love to see them headlining their own concert one day.
This was one of THE BEST concerts I have been to in a long, long time. Great crowd response, great venue and I love "Let Your Hair Down."
I never get to shows early but I'm glad I did. The opening band was the only thing worth seeing. I have been trying to find out more about them.
Very Cool Venue! Played sick music between sets (I emailed them to find out what songs they played (no word back yet - 2 weeks ago - they probably wont). Opening band played 1 hour TOO LONG! Wanted & Paid to see Magic!
No one left the concert hall with a disappointed face. The guys of MAGIC have authentic and genuine voices which exceeded my expectations. Every song was spot on perfect in tune and played with soul. Nasri is truly one of a kind. He jokes and engages with the audience in a playful manner. And where did he learn those dance moves...HOT ! I highly recommend for anyone ages 8-80 to attend a MAGIC! concert. Top notch fellas in my book!
Got to meet the band, they were VERY nice! Also, the opening band Sidereal was spectacular as well!
