Sid the Science Kid was a fun show for kids

by MattieMom on 2/17/15Tilles Center Concert Hall - Brookville

The venue was great and the prices were so much better than other places. My son enjoyed the show and the characters. I would definitely recommend it and this venue as well. We hope to return in April for Dinosaur Train.

    Cute show

by yaya1981 on 2/13/15Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

It was cute for the kids. I felt like it was short, but for the price not bad.

Entertaining but geared to kids 3 and older. Younger than that they would be lost and perhaps a distraction to the other children.

boring and not what we thought !

by Jaytwokids on 2/11/15Tilles Center Concert Hall - Brookville

We were so excited to bring our little ones to Sid, the love the show and the preview said it would be filled with a fun lesson and showed kids dancing and singing...this was in fact far from what happened! The first act is long and boring very little singing and not to mention teacher Suzie looks rediculous not in costime compared to these giant characters. My son lost interest after 10 minutes, and it was a fight to keep his attention until intermission. The second act was faster and had more music so it was slightly better, but by that point we just wanted it to end. I know we were not the only ones who must have felt that way since many families around us left mid act or show! Wish I could get my money back, but will tell you to save yours!!

    unnecessary intermission - slow

by ruga1414 on 2/4/15Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

Although the characters were cute and the performers were good, the show was boring. It was a lesson on "our five senses". The hardest part was the ridiculous intermission. It's hard enough to keep kids in their seats and focused. Made the show seem way too long. Wouldn't recommend this.

    Sid fun!

by swanky on 2/3/15Packard Music Hall - Warren

This was a great show. The only thing that my six-year-old said was that teacher Susie was supposed to have a yellow face. It took him a while to warm up to her in the show because she did not look like the one in the cartoon. All the other characters of course had the exact costumes on. All in all well worth the money to see the performance. A great message!

    Too Costly for a Family

by NFOH52 on 2/3/15Packard Music Hall - Warren

but I took my 2 grandsons, ages 7 and 6, and they loved it! They knew all about Sid and his friends and the lesson on the 5 Senses was very informative and at a level very appropriate for children. Packard Music Hall is a wonderful venue for any kind of performance, including those geared to children. On the down side, I thought the tickets were very expensive for such an event like this for children. The audience was very low in numbers and I'm sure the cost prevented many families from attending. Also, I would not advise taking toddlers. Most of the toddlers sitting near us were busy crying, yelling, and just making loud noises in general and it became very disruptive.

This was such an amazing show! I have no idea why it wasn't sold out! I hope it comes back, we will definitely come back to see it again! Our three year old son still hasn't stopped talking about it ;)
