A Most Enjoyable Evening
Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood
First of all, I had very good seats and was seated next to a very nice (fairly new) Monty Python fan from Korea. As I expected, Mr. Cleese was very entertaining and was just a delightful evening. The best part was meeting him, which was a very drama-less experience. There actually weren't that many people (around 30-ish?) lined up to meet him and it all went very smoothly, which I was slightly surprised but grateful for. I've been a fan of his since I first saw Monty Python in the 1980's, and it was a thrill to meet him, shake his hand and get the photo taken by the production people for me and get it later on their website. Kudos to BergenPAC and the production company involved for providing a very enjoyable experience.

What a great comedic icon
Vibrant Music Hall - Waukee
Was a great chance to meet and greet a comedic Icon, and a person that had a great deal with my growing up! I was in Jr High, and my friends and I would stay in on Saturday nights just to watch Monty Python on public television. I think it kept us out of a lot of trouble as well. Thanks John!

A Wonderful Way To Spend an Evening
The Factory - St. Louis
One of the most enjoyable evenings I’ve had in a very long time. If you’re a fan of John this is a must see.

Cleese was great --Venue is dissapointing
Vibrant Music Hall - Waukee
John Cleese was great...very funny and entertaining. The venue and tickmaster were terrible...The first problem was that the tickets said the show was at 6PM. We arrived at 5:45 and had to pay $15 to park--this is a small suburban location in Waukee Iowa! Parking in downtown Des Moines doesn't cost that much--complete RIPPOFF. Then there was a long line to get in, only to find out that the DOORS OPEN at 6, the show was at 7:30---we had already paid for parking, so we had no choice but to wait...then they let everybody in at 6, but kept us captive in a jam packed lobby (because everybody had arrive early for a 6PM show!) until 6:30---trying to sell high priced alcohol and snacks. I have NEVER bought a ticket to anything in my life that listed the time as the door opening time--complete screwup by ticketmaster/live nation. After all that dissapointment...the seating in the venue was astonishingly poor---nothing had indicated that the seating was not permanent seats!!!! The entire main floor was open flooring, which had been set up with folding chairs---not even decent folding chairs but those flimsy plastic chairs that are 10 inches wide and can't comfortably hold anyone over 100 lbs.--and they were zip tied together. (The people around us solved that with some nail clippers). This venue is trying to portray itself a a first class facility--they sure spent plenty of money on fancy led lighting and decked out the 5 or 6 bars with plenty of fancy style--but to cheap out on the $1.99 K-mart special chairs is astonishingly poor judgment-I will never go back to this venue again, I'll stick with the classier places in downtown where they know how to cater to ADULTS. They should stick to shows that cater to the TikTok crowd and leave the better entertainment to the real venues.

Not a bad seat in the upper house
Vibrant Music Hall - Waukee
First time to Vibrant Music Hall. Saw John Cleese and his daughter, very funny show. Was great to see Mr. Cleese in person .Neat set up and there are no bad seats on the second level. All seats have a good view of the stage anywhere on the balcony level that I could see. (Walked around during intermission). Venue makes the stage seem very close. Good sound, did not miss a word. The main floor is non padded folding chairs, and I will always want to again be seated in the fixed and padded balcony theater type seats in the future. Clean restrooms, elevator available. Non reserved parking was little slow, but hey I think it was the 3rd or 4th show ever held there. Will be attending events there again.

Still funny, but would be just as funny without profanity
The Factory - St. Louis
John Cleese was funny. He was accompanied by his daughter who was his opening act. I didn’t appreciate the amount of profanity she used—could have been just as funny without it. The clips from Monty Python enhanced the show.

Pleasant evening with a few laughs
The Factory - St. Louis
I love John and Monty Python, so I hate to leave such a “meh” review, but it really just wasn’t super memorable. John told a few good stories. I didn’t care much at all for his daughter as the opening act. Very mediocre comic. While I don’t expect cheap concessions at any event, the alcohol prices there were pretty outrageous. I’m still trying to wrap my head around how we paid $30 for two regular sized cans of beer.

A fun night with John Cleese!
The Factory - St. Louis
It was a fun night! Cleese was on his form and he worked well with his daughter who also did some good stand up. I also enjoyed The Factory and it’s look.

An Evening With An Icon
The Factory - St. Louis
How could spending an evening with one of the all time comedy greats not be…great? John Cleese didn’t disappoint in being exactly who you hoped he would be. Sardonic, insightful and thoroughly entertaining, Mr. Cleese is simply one of a kind. I only wish it would have lasted for hours more.

John Cleese is still very funny!
The Factory - St. Louis
As a long time Monty Python fan, it was wonderful for me to see and hear John Cleese! My husband and I along with our son and his wife laughed and laughed. I'm happy to find out that youtube has a Monty Python channel so that we can watch all those wonderful shows again.l
