Pioneering the New Jack Swing style fusing electro-hip-hop production and contemporary urban R&B, Harlem, New York’s Keith Sweat became one of the most popular R&B/soul producers, singers and songwriters of the late ‘80s and ‘90s. He sang in nightclubs throughout New York City until he was discovered and signed with Elektra Records in 1987, releasing his debut solo studio album Make It Last Forever and selling three million copies with the smash single “I Want Her.” Sweat’s second album, 1990’s I'll Give All My Love to You hit No. 6 on the Billboard 200 chart, and spawned the singles” I’ll Give All My Love to You” and “Make You Sweat.” He also put out the single “(There You Go) Tellin' Me No Again” from the New Jack City soundtrack, and released his third album Keep It Comin’ in 1991, debuting in the top 20 and featuring the hits “Keep It Comin’” and “Why Me Baby” with LL Cool J. 1994’s Get Up and 1996’s self-titled album both reached the Billboard top ten, selling over a million copies each of sexy and soulful singles “Nobody” and “Twisted.” In that late ‘90s and ‘00s, Sweat kept his fans moving with Still in the Game in 1998, Rebirth in 2002, Just Me in 2008, and his latest Til the Morning in 2011. After playing concerts in South America in late 2013, he’s embarking on a US tour in 2014 and launching the Sweat Hotel Cruise for ticket buyers in April 2014 for eight days through the Caribbean.

by Ms. on 4/4/24Akron Civic Theatre - AkronThe audience made the performance, not Keith Sweat! I will never go again! I purchased two tickets and I wish I could be refunded! A lesson well learned. I didn’t care for the Akron Civic Theater. The theater should be upgraded! Keith Sweat did little singing and his background dancers were okay! Not worth the money!

I sat in the left orchestra in the seats reserved for handicap and I truly enjoyed myself. Staff was very helpful and friendly when trying to find my section and seat. Keith Sweat ALWAYS has an amazing show. The sound and lighting was tremendously amazing. I absolutely enjoyed myself. Thank you for having me Akron.💜

His background singers and dancers added to the show just as much as keith.while Keith changed outfits his background singer performed johnny Kemp's just got paid and he had the crowd hyped.thr female background singer tore it up as well. Definitely seeing Keith sweat again.

He was very interactive with me in the front row, and the rest of the crowd! My friend i took with me never experienced sitting in the front row. She said she wouldn't have it any other way. But Keith Sweat gave me a real workout!!! It would have been nice if it was a little longer, but he is 62 years old... so it was nice!!! I would pay to see him every chance I get!!! Great show! Great dancers!! Great music!!! Great people!! Great time!!!
