Directions:

South on I-5: 5 South to Front Street/Civic Center off-ramp. At fork, stay to the left to 2nd Ave. Turn right on 2nd Ave and go to A Street. Turn left on A St to 4th Ave. Venue is on 4th Ave. North on I-5: North to 6th Ave off-ramp. Turn left on 6th Ave to Ash St. Turn right on Ash St to 4th Ave. South on I-15: 15 South to 163 South, this becomes 10th Ave. Take 10th Ave 2 blocks to B St. Turn right on B St to 4th Ave. Turn left on 4th Ave. Proceed South on 4th Ave to venue. West on HWY 94: 94 West to downtown - becomes F Street. Take F St all the way to the end, ends at 4th Ave. Entrance to Horton Plaza Parking Garage.
For all directions, you will enter to Horton Plaza Parking Garage on the right, past the Balboa Theatre.

Parking:

Please note that multiple downtown events can increase the time needed to secure parking convenient to the Balboa Theatre. Always allow adequate time to arrive and find suitable parking for the event you are attending.
Due to the proximity of the Theatre to the Historic Gaslamp District, parking in the evenings and weekends can be challenging. The Horton Plaza Parking structure (main entrance at 4th Ave and F St) is the most convenient to the Balboa Theatre. Validation for three (3) hours of free parking is available with any purchase in the shopping center. Validation for four (4) hours of free parking is available with patronage of either Panda Inn or Napa Valley Grille restaurants, within the complex. At this time, the Balboa Theatre is unable to validate parking tickets for the Horton Plaza Garage.

Public Transportation:

The San Diego Trolley has a Civic Center stop at 3rd Avenue and C Street, adjacent to the Civic Theatre.

Walking two (2) blocks south on 3rd Avenue will put you at the ground floor entrance of Horton Plaza. Take the corridor to the left (past newsstand) and this will put you at the front doors of the Balboa Theatre.
