Directions

FROM THE NORTH: Take 35W south to Highway 36 east via Cleveland Avenue. Exit on Snelling Avenue (Highway 51)South.

FROM THE SOUTH: Take 35W north to I-94 east. Exit on Snelling Avenue (Highway 51), then turn left and head north OR take 35E north to I-94 west. Exit on Snelling Avenue (Highway 51), then turn right and head north.

FROM THE EAST: Take I-94 west to Snelling Avenue (Highway 51), then turn right and head north.

FROM THE WEST: Take I-94 east to Snelling Avenue (Highway 51), then turn left and head north.

Parking

The State Fair has over 11,000 parking spaces. Parking will be $12.00.

Public Transportation
Park & Ride:
Free parking with free bus service to the fairgrounds is available at various locations within a short distance of the fairgrounds. Park & Ride operated 8:00am-Midnight daily. Call 651-628-6732 after August 1st for more info.

Box Office Hours

As of June 6th the Box Office will be open Monday-Friday from Noon to 5pm and Saturday 10am-2pm.

Types of Payment Accepted

American Express,MasterCard, Visa, checks, cash for advance orders. No checks on day of show!

Will Call

Located at the East end of the Grandstand. Will Call opens 90 minutes prior to the scheduled event and will generally remain open until the start of the headliners performance. Customers must present the actual credit card used to place the order, their order number, and a valid picture ID.

Accessible Seating

Accessible seating is available in select areas throughout the Grandstand. People using wheelchairs may enter by way of ramp at the west end, the Grandstand Ramp from Carnes Avenue or the elevator at the east end of the Grandstand.

ASL patrons- For American Sign Language requests please contact the venue directly at 651 288-4427. Sign language intreters are available upon request for all paid Grandstand shows with 14 days advance notice required.

General Rules

Ticket holders may enter the seating area at the east or west end of the Grandstand.

No cameras, video recorders, or sound recording devices!

All patrons must retain ticket stubs until the conclusion of the performance and be prepared to produce ticket stub at the request of State Fair personnel.

Grandstand patrons are subject to search.

All concerts go on rain or shine! Concert bookings do not allow for refunds or exchanges in the event of rain. If weather appears threatening please bring jackets or ponchos. Use of umbrellas is prohibited.

Weather permitting, video screens will be utilized on both sides of the stage. Screens are not operational until sundown.

All paid Grandstand show seating is reserved unless advertised as general admission. Seating consists of plaza seats (folding chairs) and elevated main stand seats (theater-style).

Weather permitting fireworks follow each evening Grandstand show. Starting times vary, but most fireworks begin around 10:30pm. For your safety please remain seated during the fireworks.

Food, drinks, beer, and artist merchandise will be available within the Grandstand venue. Beer will be served until aproximately one hour before the scheduled conclusion of the performance. ID's will be checked for beer sales. Coolers are not allowed.

Smoking is not allowed in the Grandstand seating areas. Smoking is allowed on the plaza level of the east and west ends behind the white lines. Ask any usher for further details.

Children Rules

All patrons ages 2 and over must have a ticket for Grandstand events. Children under age 2 are free if held on an adult's lap.

FAIR ADMISSION INFO: For events that take place DURING the Fair CUSTOMERS MUST PURCHASE ADMISSION INTO THE FAIRGROUNDS IN ADDITION TO THE EVENT TICKET.

Cash machines are available on the fairgrounds with locations just outside of Grandstand entrances and inside the venue and the east and west ends of the Plaza seating area.
