Located between Houston and Bleecker Streets.From the East Side:Take the East River (FDR) Drive to Houston Street. Head west on Houston to Sullivan Street. Make a right on Sullivan. Theatre is 1/2 block on the right hand side.
From the West Side:Take Seventh Avenue South to Bleecker. Make a left on Bleecker heading east. Go across 6th Avenue and continue to Thompson (1 block past Sullivan Street). Make a right on Thompson, a right on Houston and right on Sullivan. The Theater is 1/2 block on the right hand side.
Estacionamiento:
Parking is free on "most" streets in the area (NOT Bleecker) after 6pm. Additionally, Monday Night Magic has a $10.00 parking deal with Thompson Garage, located at 221 Thompson St. (between Bleecker and West 3rd). The Fantasticks is the longest running show of any kind in American theatre, now well into its 41st year! The Fantasticks is an exquisitely crafted, primal theatre ritual; a beloved experience that audiences of all ages come together to share again and again. This simple musical fable of a boy, a girl and the pain of growing up is told by eight actors on a bare wooden stage that is as full of theatrical magic as any in American musical theatre. The modest tale is told through a score that is as wry as it is rhapsodic. Book and lyrics by Tom Jones. Music by Harvey Schmidt.
Magical Nights Inc. presents New Yorks longest running magic series, Monday Night Magic. Each week you will find a different array of the finest stage magicians performing world class magic in an intimate theatrical setting. Every show features a minimum of 5 internationally renowned magicians. The fun continues during intermission as sleight-of-hand, close-up magicians mingle with guests in the gallery upstairs as well as in the theater at the landmark Sullivan Street Playhouse. Monday Night Magic is the winner of the 1998 "Best of Manhattan" Award given by the NY Press and was recently honored by Time Out magazine with the distinction of "NYs Best Magical Venue."
