From I-79, take Exit 155, which is noted as West Virginia University. Turn right onto US Route 19 From North/South on Interstate 79

• Take Exit 155, which is noted as West Virginia University
• FROM NORTH: At bottom of Exit Ramp, turn left onto U.S. Rt. 19/24.
• FROM SOUTH: Bear right at bottom of exit ramp, lane turns into U.S. Rt. 19/24
• Follow U.S. Route 19 South
• Proceed to the fourth traffic light. WVU Coliseum will be on right.
• At fourth traffic light, turn right into WVU Coliseum parking lot.

From the East, take Interstate 68 East to Interstate 79 North and proceed with the directions above.


Event parking is $15 per vehicle in advance; $20 per vehicle on the day of the event. Cash only accepted on site. No buses, RVs, or limos. Generally, lot opens 3 hours prior to showtime.

Public Transportation
Patrons may use WVU’s Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) system. Each ride is $0.50. Patrons need to travel to the Engineering Station and then travel the short walk to the Coliseum. The PRT closes at 10:00 p.m.

Box Office Hours

The Coliseum Blue Gate Box office is open only on the day of an event. The box office opens at 5pm for weekday events and at noon for weekend events. Tickets may also be purchased at the Mountainlair and Creative Arts Center box offices weekdays between 10am and 6pm.

Will Call opens at the Coliseum Blue Gate at 5pm for weekday events and at noon for weekend events.

Accessible Seating

Accessible seating is available for all events. Call the venue box office at 304-293-7469 with your accessible needs.

General Rules

Prohibited: Outside food/drink, backpacks and large bags, audio/video recorders, coolers or hard containers, laser pointers, weapons, bottles or cans, pets. All patrons are subject to search.

The WVU Campus is Smoke-Free.
A smoking section is located outside the Gold Gate. This section is only accessible from the Gold Gate concourse. Patrons are not permitted to exit the building and return to the concert. (Note: small, personal cameras—no detachable lenses—may be permitted. This camera policy varies by event.)

Children Rules

Generally, children under the age of two are not required to have a ticket. However, the child must sit on an accompanying adult’s lap. This policy varies by event. Please check each event’s web page for clarification.


Generally doors open one hour prior to showtime. Patrons should enter the gate specified on their tickets.
