Directions

By Car
From WB BQE:
Take BQE to Metropolitan Ave exit. Park in public lot under highway, or make an immediate right turn off the ramp, onto Union Avenue. Take Union til it dead ends at McCarren Park.

From EB BQE:
Take BQE to Metropolitan Ave exit. Follow the service road, bearing right on Meeker. Park in public lot under highway. or make a left turn on Lorimer Street. Take Lorimer about 4 blocks to McCarren Pool.

From Astoria/LIC (or Midtown):
Take Pulaski Bridge to McGuinness Blvd. Make a right on Driggs. McCarren Park is about 3-4 blocks west of McGuinness.

From Downtown:
Take Williamsburg Bridge, staying on the right side (outer roadway). Take the second exit off the bridge, between the park and the bus depot. Continue on South 5th Street to Lorimer Street, make a left on Lorimer. McCarren Park is about 12 blocks north.

*** Parking in the neighborhood around McCarren Pool is extremely limited. Plentiful, free public parking is provided in the lots under the BQE. The park and pool are only a short 5 minute walk away.

By Subway

Take the L train to the Bedford Avenue stop in Brooklyn.

Walk north on Bedford to Lorimer Street, take a right on Lorimer,
the Main Arch of the pool is on the left on Lorimer St. between
Driggs & Bayard Ave.

For those who take the G train:
Take the G train to Metropolitan Avenue.
Walk out of the station and cross Metropolitan on Union.

Walk up Union under BQE overpass until you reach Roebling.
Make a right, walk one block to Lorimer.
