Students can see the Oakland East Bay Symphony at the glorious art deco Paramount Theatre for just $10 (plus processing fee). The concert on Friday, April 18 features a World Premiere by Puerto Rican-American composer Roberto Sierra and two landmark works from the German repertory. The orchestra will be joined by international award-winning pianist Sandra Rivers for a performance of Brahms' magnificent Piano Concerto No. 2. Also on the program is Schoenberg's Verklärte Nacht, a lovely, haunting work arranged for string orchestra.
