Philadelphia Union History

The Philadelphia Union joined MLS for the 2010 season. In 2020, the club won their first Supporters' Shield for the best regular season record in MLS. After advancing to the 2022 MLS Cup Finals and ultimately falling to Los Angeles FC, the club placed third in the 2023 Leagues Cup tournament, automatically qualifying the club for the 2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup. A match to forget.

by SuperViewer on 2/24/13EverBank Field - Jacksonville

The Union's opponent was terrible. Something to keep in mind for future matches, since after all, Jacksonville wants this to be a big thing. The crowd was small, which was disappointing. The play on the pitch was mostly terrible, which was somewhat to be expected, but still even more disappointing. I thought when Philly subbed their starters in the match in the 75th minute, the play would be better and there would be a goal. Sadly this was not the case. My suggestion for the future would be a higher-profile team, and both teams not keeping their reserves in the match for so long.

    MLS in Jacksonville

    by ear33wig on 2/18/13EverBank Field - Jacksonville

The crowd was small and not very vocal, probably because there was no real love for either team. It was great to see the MLS in the south even if it was just a preseason friendly.

    Not worth your money

Pre season game, it was plain boring, very long 90 minutes with a 0-0 score

    MLS in Jacksonville Awesome!!

by furysoccermom on 2/17/13EverBank Field - Jacksonville

MLS soccer in Jacksonville was amazing! The event staff was very welcoming at every turn. The game was great even though it ended in a draw. We are a soccer family and it was great to be able to see a professional event. We look forward to next year when the Union comes back. The only drawback was that two hamburgers, chicken tenders and sodas cost $60.

    Finally Soccer in Jacksonville!

by Anonymous on 2/17/13EverBank Field - Jacksonville

The staff was friendly and helpful. For the small amount of people there the choice to limit the entrance to the club seats was a great idea and environment overall a great relaxed game.

Enjoyed the game. Seating was nice. Wish it had been a "Real Game" where they actually tried hard but was still awesome to be there!

Not what I expected a bit boring. I would go again if two big teams play with all their players
