About

PANTHA DU PRINCE IN CONCERT:

Electronic music whiz Hendrik Weber went from a respectable fixture of Berlin's underground club scene to an international techno-house darling when he started recording under the name Pantha du Prince in 2002. At his hypnotic shows he brilliantly blends minimal techno, progressive house, and even elements from shoegaze to craft an experimental yet accessible style that's all his own. Slow grooves and leftfield sounds are only half the story, though. In addition to the mind-expanding music, each Pantha du Prince show comes with visuals worthy of an art installation – the inventive mastermind provides a feast for the senses complete with elaborate stage costumes, movie projections, and dazzling light shows. Pantha du Prince delivers one of the most unique shows in electronic music, and ticket buyers should expect the unexpected whenever he shares his engrossing productions at venues around the world.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Berlin-based composer and installation artist Hendrik Weber has released his spacious, evolving tracks under a number of aliases since the early '00s, but Pantha du Prince (French for "The Prince's Panther") has become his most prolific and celebrated. His first release as Pantha du Prince was the 2002 single "Nowhere," but things truly took off for him in his native Germany when he partnered with Dial Records for his 2004 debut album Diamond Daze. English-speaking audiences first discovered the electronica master on his 2010 album Black Noise, which generated buzz thanks to cameos from Animal Collective's Panda Bear and LCD Soundsystem's Tyler Pope. He recorded with Norwegian bell choir The Bell Laboratory in 2013 for his next album Elements of Light and brought them on the road for a unique corresponding tour. Pantha du Prince continues to push the envelope with his intriguing electronic productions, treating fans to unusual sights and sounds every time he takes the stage.
