Harbor Park Ball Games Are A Home Run

by Snake on 4/17/24Harbor Park - Norfolk

Our family enjoyed a beautiful day at Harbor Park watching the Norfolk Tides play. Parking options were plentiful at 30 minutes before game time. People in our party had see-through bags to make it easier going by security. Food variety was great from hot dogs to lumping to BBQ to pretzels and Dipping Dots. Something for everyone. Prices were fairly good. Lower than Scope Areana. Staff were friendly showing people to their correct seats. Take a glove for those foul balls. New or first time fans may need GPS to get to and from the park. A little tricky if traffic is heavy or at night.

Great Way to Spend an Evening

    by Avery on 4/14/24

My wife and I frequen the stadium to cheer on the Tides, the food prices are actually on par for a sporting event now and much less than you would see at an MLB game. We always spend at least $50 on food so it is pricey but its about the same to eat out anywhere now. The main issue is how long lines are and how there is no organization with the lines and the congestion of people moving through the concourse. Outside of these issues its a great place to spend the evening and its always fun to cheer on our Tides. Looking forward to spending the season with everyone at Harbor Park!

    FUN…but COSTLY!

    by fpguy1999 on 4/2/24Harbor Park - Norfolk

First time sitting in the nose-bleed section and it was nice and cool! It was a fun game as Tides won the game. As far as it being costly, the food (2 hot dogs and a chicken tender basket) and drinks (2 lemonades) cost almost $50! It’s still a good place to go for entertainment (especially when the Tides win… except when they’re playing Worcester)!

    Fix concessions

by Chris on 4/1/24Harbor Park - Norfolk

A wonderful experience overall except for one major problem. The concessions are excellent, but people spend WAY WAY WAY too much time in line. You need more concessions, or faster concessions, but every time there is a big crowd, the concessions lines are beyond crazy. Please fix this because I love coming to the ballpark. Everything else is great. Thank you.

    Great night of fun

Parking was a nightmare as well as the line that formed waiting to park. Once in the ballpark, it was a great experience.

    Parking Nightmare

by Tidesfan on 4/1/24Harbor Park - Norfolk

Want to start this off by saying we love the Tides and will continue to support, just not at Harbor Park. The City of Norfolk consistently drops the ball with parking. To the point you have to show up to the game over an hour before the game if you don’t want to miss the first few innings sitting in traffic. The NPD decides to just stand there in the middle of the road, but no chance they actually direct traffic. Then once you finally get in the park. You can’t get through the tiny concourse because they’ve crammed so many stalls in such a small space. So if you came thirsty, you’re going to miss another couple of innings. Rather than take a family of four to the game, purchase the mlb.tv package and watch the entire season for the price of one game and a couple beers. Hate that it’s been so poorly managed, Tides games were our favorite summertime activity here in Hampton Roads.
