First I want to start by saying that Idina Menzel puts on an amazing, 5-star performance. I've seen her live a number of times, in a number of venues, and it's always incredible. If you have the chance to see her perform live, do it! The venue at Caesar's Atlantic City is a nice intimate theater, comfortable seats, well spaced, and great sound. HOWEVER - they need to do something about their audience. It was embarrassing how many people were still stumbling in well past the concert start time, and while the performance was going on. One woman came in late with a light up headband on! There must be something that can be done to cut down on latecomers, given that I've never seen this happen at any other venue, other than arenas. And while most of the audience was respectful (once in their seats), a few made the experience one of my least favorite concerts to date. The people directly behind us were obnoxiously loud, talking over the performer and singing far too loud. Then when the audience had the PRIVILEGE of the artist coming down off stage, one drunk woman, who had been escorting an older lady (who was in a wheel chair and easily over 90 years old), took advantage of the situation, attempted to get a drunk selfie with the artist, and the venue staff did NOTHING. It was very uncomfortable to witness, and I can only imagine how unsettling it must have felt for Idina Menzel. She handle herself beautiful, but it put the audience to shame. I'm still dumbfounded that the ushers, who walked up and down the aisles to stop video recordings, did not remove the woman who was being inappropriate with the star of the show. In the future, if there's another option for a venue close by, other than Caesar's Atlantic City, I'll choose that. We love coming to AC for concerts, and have been to several at the Borgata - but will rethink this venue in the future.
