What is a Ticketmaster Auction?
A Ticketmaster Auction allows artists, promoters and venues to auction tickets and ticket packages on ticketmaster.com. When you bid on tickets, you will be deciding for yourself how much you would like to pay to attend the event.

If you have a valid winning bid at the close of the auction and your credit card is authorized for full payment by your bank, you will receive tickets to the event. There are no charges for entering an auction that you do not win. You will have access to Ticketmaster customer service just as you do for tickets sold through a standard ticket sale.

Who is eligible to participate in a Ticketmaster Auction?
In order to be eligible to participate in a Ticketmaster Auction, you must have a Ticketmaster Account with a credit card that:
  1. Has a billing address in the country the event will take place
  2. Passes the Ticketmaster Auction bidding authorization process

If you do not have a Ticketmaster Account, you will be asked to create one when you place your first bid. Once created, your Ticketmaster Account can be used for any auction or online ticket purchase with Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster Auctions will only allow you to select credit cards from your Ticketmaster Account that have billing addresses in the country where the event will take place. If you do not have a credit card stored in your account, you will be asked to enter your billing information at the time of your first bid.

The Ticketmaster Auction bidding authorization process requires that the expiration date on the credit card you select be at least one week after the auction closes and that the issuing bank fully verifies and authorizes the credit card. In some cases you may have entered valid information but the authorization will fail. This may occur because some credit card-issuing banks do not support the full authorization process that Ticketmaster requires for auctions. This process is for your security as a consumer and participant in a Ticketmaster Auction.

How are bids ranked?

Bids are ranked first by the amount bid per ticket. Ties will be broken based on the time that the bids were placed with earlier bids receiving priority.

How many times may I bid?
You may rebid as many times as you like from the same Ticketmaster Account while the auction is open. When you rebid you must increase the quantity of tickets you selected, your bid amount per ticket or both. If you rebid it is considered your new bid and your previous bid will no longer be valid. It is a violation of the auction rules for the same user to submit bids for the same auction from multiple Ticketmaster Accounts. If you attempt to submit bids for the same auction from multiple accounts, Ticketmaster may cancel all of your bids and block all of your accounts from participating. Refer to the Ticketmaster Auction Terms for additional details.

How many tickets may I bid on?
You may bid up to the maximum number of tickets allowed per auction as stated on the auction's bid page. This is a strictly enforced limit and you will not be allowed to submit bids for the same auction from multiple accounts. If you attempt to submit bids for the same auction from multiple accounts, Ticketmaster may cancel all of your bids and block all of your accounts from participating. Refer to the Ticketmaster Auction Terms for additional details. Note that some auctions will only allow a set quantity of tickets per bid.

Can I cancel my bid?
Once a bid has been submitted you may not cancel it. According to the Ticketmaster Auction Terms , once your bid has been submitted, you are required to make payment if it is a valid winning bid at the end of the auction.
