    Worst Tuna ever

by garyLittle on 4/30/17Pensacola Saenger Theatre - Pensacola

I have seen Greater Tuna many, many times. This is probably, actually no doubt about it, the worst I have seen. Saenger Theater is a horrible venue for this. This is a play that depends on close proximity to the audience. The whole thing was swallowed up by the Saenger. The sound was totally echoey and there were too many people in incomprehensible roles. This was supposed to be a very funny play where two characters played all the roles. Instead there were a variety of untalented wiggly people NOT MAKING MUCH SENSE. The best laugh portions were either completely left out, or were so mangled that they failed to come through. I may never see Greater Tuna again...too bad for me, since it is potentially one of the funniest plays ever.

Miss the original storyline. DiDi is NOT the same!

by TxTunaFan on 4/30/17Pensacola Saenger Theatre - Pensacola

Why add the additional characters? They lend nothing to the play. Joe Sears replacement did a wonderful performance. However, Jaston's replacement was severely lacking. Not the same zip in DiDi. And why change his other character??? Certainly did ruin good memories of the original.

    Great as always

Wonderful depiction of small town life. Don't even have to make this stuff up.

    Could have been great!

by Locoseed on 3/24/17McAllen Performing Arts Center - McAllen

I believe the performance would have been excellent if the sound system had been much better.

TUNA rocks and so does the new cast!

by superfan62 on 8/31/12Casa Manana - Fort Worth

We've been fans of the show since it first came to CASA! Although we will miss the original cast (like a front tooth!), the new casts are great and will, with time be the same legendary portayals. I can't wait for the new TUNA Christmas!

    Greter Tuna was a hoot

by dawgdoc52 on 8/31/12Casa Manana - Fort Worth

Our seats were great. it's unbelievable that two guys can play so many parts and move from one to the next keeping in character. There could have been a bit more emphasis on the set. A casket or other minor pieces would have improved the ambiance. My wife and I know so many of the characters, it's scary. WELL DONE!
