About

GOLDLINK IN CONCERT:

D.C.-area rapper GoldLink made a name for himself in a hurry with an idiosyncratic hip hop sound that culls from genres as diverse as soul, bachata, and house music. He calls the resulting hybrid “future bounce”, and it’s a fitting label – his cutting-edge tracks always get fans bouncing at his live shows. In concert GoldLink is pure confidence, delivering razor-sharp rhymes with swagger to spare while a booty-shaking stew of sample-based rhythms keeps the party bumping. From the throwback vibe of “Movin’ On” to the sweat-inducing syncopation of “Dance on Me”, GoldLink is a hip hop visionary who takes ticket buyers on a trip into the future of sound every time he takes the stage.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

GoldLink was born and raised in the Washington D.C. area, moving around with his mother from the capitol to nearby towns in Maryland and Virginia. He wasn't keen on going to college after high school, so he turned to rapping. It was then he immersed himself in hip hop culture, studying the creative process of his favorite artists and honing his own unique style. Before long he linked up with various producers including Louie Lastic and Lakim, and in 2014 he self-released his debut EP The God Complex. The record was a critical success, earning praise from major outlets including Pitchfork and Complex. Despite the attention GoldLink remained tight-lipped about his identity and background, leaving fans to speculate. Since then he's opened up a little in interviews, but his precise identity remains unknown -- even as he racks up millions of views on Soundcloud, tours the country, and slays at festivals like SXSW and Sasquatch!

    Great concert.

    by LZA25 on 9/14/17The Masquerade - Atlanta

Fantastic vibes, met some cool people there, the DJ for Masego was AWESOME. Goldlink was great. I couldn't see him a lot of the time primarily because I'm short and ended up behind tall people but I had a great time.

    Didn't Perform Enough Material

by GirlRenrut on 9/9/17The Masquerade - Atlanta

Good venue. Poorly run concert. Didn't do enough of his material. The stuff he did was good. Really liked the opening Artist!
