This was a very powerful and touching event! The singing by Melba was great, and Angela's stage presence and personality was simply amazing! What a remarkable person she is!The event made me want become an advocate for stroke victims. I wish her the very best, and I highly recommend that people should go see the show!
The Angela Bofill Experience was very inspiring. Miss Bofill provided an overview of her life and provided both professional and personal highlights. She looked great and was very witty and charming during the intermissions between Melba Moore's singing. Miss Melba Moore did an amazing job of singing Miss Bofill's greatest hits. Her voice was in perfect sync with the music. One of the highlights of the show was a tribute to Angela Bofill's nephew who passed away. The song was written by Angela Bofill following his death.
I felt the event was excellent. Melba Moore and the flutist did an fantastic job and it was great to see Angela and know she has a great since of humor after recovering from her ordeal. We loved the show!!
Very disappointed....would've never paid to hear Melba Moore sing Angela Bofil....Melbas voice did Angelas songs no justice!
Excellent event... Sound was crystal clear, Melba Moore has an amazing voice and Angela Bofill was awesome.
The show was amazing, I truly enjoyed the show. Angie was so funny and entertaining, it was a joy to see her and her uplifting spirit. Melba was so entertaining with her voice and dancing, she sang Angie's songs with such admiration and respect for Angie as a songwriter. The two ladies really did rock the house, they complimented each other, it was great to see these two legends working together. Wish they had another show, I would have been there upfront again. Truly enjoyed the evening, afterwards being able to sit and talk and take pictures with the ladies was thrilling for me. Great show.
I never saw Melba perform before but was very pleased. The good thing about her performance was she did not try to sing like Angela Bofill.....she used her own style when sanging Angela's classic songs. While I do understand the circumstances associated with this performance due to Angela Bofill's two strokes, I was disappointed that we did not hear more of Angela's songs. There were only four songs performed at the show. )-:
I have never heard of Angela Bofill nor Dave Valentin but know Melba Moore. I did not know what to expect. This was a Christmas gift to my friend. I was so glad I attended. This was a great show! I almost got tear-eyed at the end of the show. My friend got to shake Angela's hand and Melba's hand as they walked down the ramp. I hope the Angela Bofill Experience will return to the Birchmere and/or Rams Head Annapolis again very soon.
