About

Twisted Sister's 37-year legacy with global sales of 12 million records, 33 Gold and Platinum Awards and more than 9,000 performances is nothing short of amazing. Twisted co-lead guitarist JAY JAY FRENCH formed the band in New York City in December,1972. High school buddy EDDIE OJEDA (co-lead guitar) came onboard in 1975.  With the addition of front man DEE SNIDER in 1976, the band embraced the theatricality of the shock rock movement combined with their signature hard-rock sound that continues to embrace new fans and remain loyal to their followers. Ex-Dictator, bassist MARK 'The Animal' MENDOZA joined in 1978 and Twisted Sister was steadily making a name for itself on the grueling club circuit while including more and more Snider-penned original material in the sets. The final addition of drummer A.J. PERO completed the line-up responsible for every Twisted Sister classic including, "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock." The band is currently celebrating the 25th Anniversary of their legendary mutli-platinum selling album, Stay Hungry with a special edition package of that album on CD and vinyl. A Twisted Christmas CD was released in 2006. The overwhelming success of that release and its steady, annual holiday sales were the inspiration behind what has become an annual theatrical spectacular, TWISTED CHRISTMAS ON BROADWAY. With set and stage designs created with the help of Kevin O'Callaghan, Chair of 3D Design at New York's legendary School of Visual Arts, A TWISTED CHRISTMAS ON BROADWAY is a mind-boggling, theatrical spectacle designed to kick off the holiday season with a memorable assault of lights, sound and staging.

    Great event

by TheNJWanderer on 10/5/16First Energy Park - Lakewood

Excellent choice of bands, great venue and well organized. Good choice of food trucks and plenty of beverages. $20 to park each day, we went all three days. The parking is close to the venue, a short walk, well lit and organized with two exit routes. You have a good view from any seat. The weather was horrible but you could stand up top and watch without getting wet. Everyone was rocking despite Mother Nature.

    Soaked

by BubbaRay on 10/5/16First Energy Park - Lakewood

Notwithstanding the weather the event was average due to IMO poor planning on band times. Using Saturday as an example, the roster contained a motley crue and a Metallica cover band on other stages. They were on the same time as TS and Overkill so I missed them. Why would you put bands with the same genre at the same time? Theoretically they could have been performing during daughtry ( sp?) so fans of metal music would get to to see all of the bands they like. The parking was a bit steep. The food trucks were a bit overpriced and the lack lines reflected this. The food was good. The main stage bands were. Excellent

by NitroPrincess on 9/16/15Grand Casino Hinckley Amphitheater - Hinckley

Overall, Saturday was pretty darn amazing. Dee and the boys were incredible- band bashing included... the big surprise for me? Scrap Metal-- Having the Nelson twins back up Mr. RATT Pearcy.. was entertaining.

    Rocktember III Great Success

by MissBlissa on 9/15/15Grand Casino Hinckley Amphitheater - Hinckley

The event was well run clean and sounded great! Loved all the performances the Line Up was great... Saliva was my favorite!!! Throwing in a more recent band was a good idea to attract a younger crowd of new fans to the old greats! Tom Keifer of Cinderella was also really great. Scrap Metal was 3rd favorite. Eric Martin still sounds amazing. Missed Tesla and Lita Ford this year.

    Good Show and Venue

by Anonymous on 9/15/15Grand Casino Hinckley Amphitheater - Hinckley

We went for Saturday's line-up and were not disappointed. We didn't like Saliva but all of the other acts were very good. Our favorite acts were Tom Kiefer and Scrap Metal. Tommy is a seasoned pro and still has a great voice. From Scrap Metal we loved Pat Travers and Derek St. Holmes. It was good to see guys from the 80s still doing it and doing it well. Twisted Sister hasn't changed a bit and gave a good show with lots of energy. Likely the last time we will see them in Minnesota since they said it was their farewell. The venue is great. Good sound and good viewing at most any seat. The weather was nice but a bit cold after dark. Thanks for a good time. Likely be back next year.
