I regret not having gone to both performances because it was that good - that moving. I have known of Ronald K. Brown/EVIDENCE for decades but this was my first time seeing a full evening of his works. Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Philadanco, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, Cleo Parker Robinson, and many more have his pieces in their repertoire. It is the richness, depth, and precision of his movement vocabulary, the sophisticated beauty of his rhythms and musicality, the sumptuousness of the costumes and lighting designs, and the unparalleled and exquisite artistry of his dancers that brought me to the edge of my seat. A well-deserved standing ovation!
