Short Biography
Singer/guitarist Britt Daniel and drummer Jim Eno, who began their musical collaboration in Austin, TX, in 1994, form the musical core of Spoon. The group's earliest albums—1996's Telephono and 1998's A Series of Sneaks—were a high-energy mix of art-punk and indie rock, earning the band comparisons to such post-punk luminaries as the Pixies. Spoon explored more pop-influenced territory on their next release, 2000's Girls Can Tell, and attained commercial success with 2002's Kill the Moonlight, featuring such tracks as the lo-fi "Stay Don't Go" and the acoustic "Don't Let It Get You Down."
