As Lynyrd Skynyrd approaches the 50th anniversary of the band's critically acclaimed debut album 'Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd' in 2023, they resonate as deeply with their multi-generational fan base today as when they first emerged out of Jacksonville, Florida in 1973. Few ensembles have had the deep impact in creating a lifestyle as Skynyrd has. The band travels forward with a primary mission of celebrating a legacy that honors all whom have had a resonating contribution to the lives of hundreds of millions of fans globally. Former members Ronnie Van Zant, Allen Collins, Steve Gaines, Ed King, Billy Powell, Bob Burns, Leon Wilkeson and Hughie Thomasson alongside others will forever remain significant contributors to this indelible repertoire and the band's colorful history. Today, Lynyrd Skynyrd rocks on with a current line-up featuring Johnny Van Zant, Rickey Medlocke, Mark "Sparky" Matejka, Michael Cartellone, Keith Christopher, Peter Keys, Carol Chase and Stacy Michelle. Gary Rossington continues to have a significant presence and creative influence with the band, while making select appearances on the road.
The rock and roll powerhouse continually tours, and as Van Zant shares, "It's about the legacy of Lynyrd Skynyrd, and what it stands for, what the fans are all about. There's nothing like getting out there playing a great show with Skynyrd and seeing people love this music." Adds Rossington, "We're still standing, Still keeping the music going. We wanted to do the guys who aren't with us any more proud, and keep the name proud, too."
With a catalog of over 60 albums, billions of streams, and tens of millions of records sold, Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Lynyrd Skynyrd remain a cultural icon that appeal to all generations.

My 3rd time seeing Lynyrd Skynyrd, and definitely not the last! Awesome high energy performance with Ricky Medlock and Damon Johnson carrying the guitar army on. Johnny always honors fallen members with passion. Keep blowin' down the road, and we'll see you guys somewhere again soon!
I’ve seen Lynyrd Skynyrd 3 times in 6 years. Always excellent!!
I realize ZZ Top is getting up in age but it was obvious what they were doing on stage was a recording and even the instruments were not being played correctly. If they are that elderly they cannot perform for the fans like they use to, they shouldn't be touring. We paid top dollar to have front row seats for the show and was very disappointed.
8th time I've seen Lynyrd Skynyrd in concert. I've seen them in small venues, large venues, indoors and outdoors. The songs are always great. The music is always great. This concert was way too loud, though. One of the loudest concerts I've ever seen and I've been to alot of concerts. Someone needs to work with the sound crew.
Black Stone Cherry was very good as was Skynyd. But I give 5 Stars to ZZ TOP. They rocked. They put on a GREAT performance. This was my first concert since ‘85 and I wasn’t disappointed at all. I hope to see Heart in August.
Loved the concert itself. Had a wonderful time. The seating is to cramped up if you move just a little you hit the person beside you or behind you. Not enough room to walk past the people sitting towards the end of the rolls. Need to have more than 2 or 3 the stands selling the merchandise. Missed some of the concert cause of standing in line to get t-shirts. It will be alot worse when Jelly Roll comes in October have the people won't get a t-shirt or will miss most of the concert cause of standing in line. Please have more merchandise stands when he comes.
Amazing from the bands to the event. The food was decent. The restrooms were clean. Great experience.
Black Stone Cherry started the show and it was my first time seeing them they were enthusiastic and loud. ZZ TOP were on next and it was even louder some of the best songs one right after the other. Just a few moments on the microphone and a change in appearance and an encore it was great. This was my third time-seeing the group but my first time without Dusty Hill . Then the loudest with Lynyrd Skynyrd and some more of the great tunes that you love to gear and sing along too. I won these tickets on my birthday Nov 1 of 2023, and I loved rocking and rolling like a Free Bird all over the arena. What a great night for southern rock n roll and the blues from these three groups. Thank you Black Stone Cherry, ZZ Top, and Lynyrd Skynyrd for coming to Knoxville for a rocking good time on good Ol Rocky Top Tennessee!!!
The tribute to Gary Rossington was amazing as well as the Freebird finale' and everything in between! Always a great show!
