    STILL ROCK'IN

by Larbo on 8/12/19The Showroom at the Golden Nugget - Las Vegas

This show was a reminder of how fun a live Rock concert can be. Nothing is as genuine and moving as live heart pounding Rock. And Rick Derringer was not just a relevant Rock Icon but a patriot as well. As a veteran I really appreciated his recognition of all who sacrifice. The venue was the perfect size and the acoustics were spot on.

    Rick Derringer was amazing!

by YOBJ on 1/15/18The Showroom at the Golden Nugget - Las Vegas

Rick was everything we expected and more. The music was great and the Q and A session with the audience was so enlightening. His band was tight and his drummer was the happiest guy in the music business. His talent is immense and it is a shame he is not in the R nR HOF.

    Rick is timeless!!!

by jrm826 on 8/21/15B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

Every time I see Rick Derringer, it brings back the very best memories, starting from his very first hit Hang On Sloopy when he was with the McCoys!! He started the night off with my favorite song, Still Alive and Well. Thanks Rick!! His guitar playing is still and I think always will be simply outstanding!

    Derringer has lost it

by whoworshipper on 7/7/11Hard Rock Cafe - Hollywood

I don't know how the other reviews on Derringer were positive. He sounded out of tune and his fingerwork was poor. No offense but he looked like a white smurf. His stage presence was awful. I am so mad that I paid good money to see this loser. He should retire and give the young blood a chance!

    Really Fun, Great Musicians!

by Spiderzone on 1/24/11Sherman Theater - Stroudsburg

Rick & his band were having a lot of fun playing which was contagious, but Rick's amp was just too loud making it actually uncomfortable. Edgar and his band are just an amazing group of musicians all around, all very talented! He still has it after all these years and the tribute to his mom was inspiring. Just had a great time and would see him again!

Derringer / Winter: all awesome musicians!

by yonitz on 1/23/11Sherman Theater - Stroudsburg

Rick Derringer / Edgar Winter was a guitarist's dream-show! Rick's bassist was awesome (Charlie Torres). Plays left-hand but strings are reversed; low-downward / high-upward. NUTS! Edgar's guitarist (Doug Rappaport) was every bit as good as Rick (or Eddie VanHalen, Buck Dharma, Richie Blackmore)! Only a sad note: Edgar announced that his mother passed-on just this-past Tuesday; 'guess he's on a plane for the funeral, to meet Johnny, down in Beaumont, TX? She must've been in her 90s (Edwina Winter). The song he dedicated to her was beautiful! All I can remember now, lyrically, is, ". . . why am I so dyin' to live, when I'm just livin' to die?"

Absolutely amazing show! Rick Derringer is still a phenom on guitar, vocals were awesome, met him and band after their set - great guys!!!! Can't say enough about Edgar Winter - the man ROCKS!!! The only negative thing I can say about the show was that it wasn't long enough, missed out on some tunes I would have loved to hear, but given the circumstances (Edgar's mom passed away the day before the show), no complaints here. Y'all keep rockin' now!!! :-)

    Rick rocked!!!!!

by Popps on 1/18/11The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

At 63 Rick is still at the top of his game. He played a lot of McCoys music and kept us moving all night. He's a great guitar player as well as a showman, his back-up drummer and guitar player further enhanced the evening. I would recommend this to anyone who likes 70"s McCoy music.
