Need To Breathe & A Great Night on the dance floor

by ConcertCrew on 6/6/17The Boardwalk at Atlantic Beach - Atlantic Beach

Loved the atmosphere and this style of music at the beach! In between bands we could go swim in the ocean or eat and drink. We were able to get very close to the stage and could relax on blankets! Shovels and Ropes were extremely impressive with their multiple instrument abilities. They also had an amazing connection between them and performed with great passion. All the bands we saw were very good, but Need To Breathe is our FAVORITE! They manage to perform with excellence, fun and humility at the same time. They obviously enjoy what they do and love to watch their fans enjoy it too. We saw them in Raleigh, NC last year...it was a fantastic show, but we prefer this "pace" at the beach! As one of their songs goes: Let's have a great night, on the dance floor.....I'll be swimming' to shore.... That we did...swam...and danced to some dynamic music! Thank you for bringing this show to us!

    Awesome!

by Toddsquad on 6/6/17The Boardwalk at Atlantic Beach - Atlantic Beach

All of the band's were great! We especially enjoyed Rebekah Todd and the Odyssey, Shovels and Rope, Need to Breathe. Only complaint was the heat and lack of shade! We did manage to get under the ONE small tent. But for next year my suggestion would be for more shade tents and some misting stations. Also let people bring in chairs!

Great time for the whole crew

by MrsDSmith on 6/6/17The Boardwalk at Atlantic Beach - Atlantic Beach

Awesome time, I cannot believe there were not more people at this event. A bit pricey maybe but my husband and I took our teenage girls and had an absolute blast. Great food, friendly people. awesome memories.

Make up rules as you go

by sistersnightout on 6/20/16The Boardwalk at Atlantic Beach - Atlantic Beach

The event was great. Location was great. Bands put on a good show. I would have given this 5 stars, except poor planning and management of the show. And, it was poor. We received a list of acceptable items and what to expect when attending the event. But when we go there, we just had to live by whatever rules they decided at the moment. Why send out a list if you aren't going to use it? The list said that small back packs and purses were allowed. When you got there, they said no pack backs with padded straps regardless of the size. Because of the distance that you had to park away from the event or catch a shuttle, you were expected to either throw your pack pack away or leave it somewhere and hope that the policy did not think it was anything threatening. What? When we got there, we were told that we were not the only ones who had to deal with this. They had sent away at least 150 people before us. Then, what does that tell you? The information sheet also advised that they would sell alchol there and you would receive a wristband and allowed to come and go. They stopped selling alchol less than 45 min after the headlining band started. A member of our group was advised that she could go to the Tackle Box to buy and drink (which was directly through the gate) and then come back in. So, she did. Except, they did not let her back in. They did not let people re-enter during Third Eye Blind. Which is the band that we went to see. Seriously. Terrible. If you are going to issue rules and instructions, then everybody needs to abide by them.

The main reason for attending this event was Third Eye Blind. I had not heard of the other three performers but they were all just awesome!! Only negative thing was the political LGBT talk at least twice during concert by main performer (seen them in concert prior), therefore, I was a little disappointed that we had to hear that there, we hear it enough in the news. I hope Atlantic Beach has another concert next year!

    We went for Robert DeLong!

by Ilikecoke on 6/8/16The Boardwalk at Atlantic Beach - Atlantic Beach

We were not disappointed! Three great bands and an awesome performance by Robert Delong - on the beach! Cannot wait to see who next year's festival brings us!

had a great time, hope they do it again next year

by danieljdenton on 6/7/16The Boardwalk at Atlantic Beach - Atlantic Beach

there weren't any seats, i should have gotten the VIP package, it didn't cost much more. Parking was no problem, they had shuttles coming from free places down the street. I go to atlantic beach all of the time and thought parking was going to be difficult, but they pulled it off with flying colors. The bands were great too. With an awesome stage act or two.

I originally bought the tickets because I wanted to see Third Eye Blind, but Judah and the Lion and Robert DeLong were incredible! I'm really excited to see who they get for next year.

Great start to hopefully a new tradition

by DMS8 on 6/7/16The Boardwalk at Atlantic Beach - Atlantic Beach

What an wonderful event for our little paradise on the Crystal Coast! As someone who travels just about monthly to attend live music events, I was thrilled to check out this show. The set-up was good, and all the bands sounded amazing. There should have been more options as far as alcoholic beverages. Also, some of the security rules were a bit excessive, as this was not a true festival, but rather a 6 hour concert.

Everything was smooth, not chaotic, fun, and right in my small town! I couldn't be happier with the event! Third Eye Blind, Robert Delong... They KILLED IT. The shuttle service was convenient and efficient!
