What is the Miami Open?

The Miami Open is a professional tennis tournament held annually in March in Miami, Florida that draws some of the top tennis talent on the men's and women's tours. Also known as the Miami Masters, it is an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event on the men's tour and a Premier Mandatory event on the women's tour. The tennis event is held at Hard Rock Stadium where the NFL's Miami Dolphins play among other events. It was previously held at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne just off the coast of Miami.

The event moved to Hard Rock Stadium after over $500 million was spent in renovations, including a new tennis campus featuring 29 permanent tournament and practice courts as well as additional food and entertainment facilities. The 14,000-seat center court within Hard Rock Stadium is designed for intimacy, luxury and a comfortable fan experience. A state-of-the-art in-stadium shade canopy and the largest video board in tennis offers a luxury seating experience.

    Distance

by Meeals on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

There was no valet nor was there a tram to transport people to and fro their vehicles. The distance is remarkable coupled the heat not a good recipe.

    Improving Every Year!

by Judy on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

Have been attending since inaugural year 2019. Happy to see my suggestions of more seating around campus with shade, umbrellas and the ability to watch matches from around the grounds on big screens when your not at courts. Last year’s seating around the grounds was more comfortable though. I have 2 suggestions for improvements in the future. The food selections in the 300 level were limited and uninspiring. The options around the grounds seemed interesting but it was way too far to go from way up in the 300’s. My other suggestion is that there should be another entrance into the stadium besides the one near the entrance to the facility. Once your in and watching matches on court 1, 5, 7, Grandstand, etc, it’s a far way to go to get in to the stadium since there’s only that one entrance. Thanks! See you next year😁🎾

    Mixed bag

by Mark P. on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

Great views on smaller courts, stadium leaves a lot to be desired. Stadium seats are glorified bleachers, uncomfortable after a short while, long way away from bathrooms and food stations. Food and drink options very expensive and not particularly healthy or tasteful. Overall, a great opportunity for the hardcore fan to watch some live tennis but the value is simply not there.

    Various

Updates for court practice should be done constantly. More food variety and not so expensive

    Awesome Tennis; Great Setting!

by Gator Beast on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

Some of the world’s best tennis players battling in the warm Florida sun. What’s not to love about that? The facilities are first class. Really enjoyed both the tennis and the setting. If you enjoy world class tennis, do yourself a favor and go!

    Amazing Event

by Indy Tennis Fan on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

I have attended the Miami Open the last two years and will most likely return again in 2025. It is a very well organized, fun event. Kudos to James Blake and his team for making this one of the premier tennis tournaments in the USA.

    Weather and Tennis Was Terrific

by Doug256 on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

Great event as always. Need to figure out how to provide the lineup for the day at the event. Food concessions in the Stadium are just terrible. Over priced and service is just inept. Outside the Stadium food and service is above average. Power going out on Tuesday afternoon in the Stadium was not good and made for a bad situation everywhere. Should not happen at an event like this. Tennis was very good. Love attending but organizers need to improve in the items listed above.

    Expensive, but...

by DiCaprio on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

Stadium tickets, food and drink are very expensive. But if you go midway through the 2-week tournament, by a cheap stadium ticket (need binoculars to see the players on court) you get great up-close access to top players playing or practicing on the many outer courts. It's a shame when you watch from home and see so many empty seats, even in the semi-finals. Also, ride with someone or take an uber or bus, because traffic during the snowbird/spring break season is horrendous in Miami.

    All-in-one

by Jacopo on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

Great week in Miami. Hard Rock stadium is a very nice venue with an awesome atmosphere and hospitality. Fantastic food section and great variety. You can see your favorite tennis players up close for a reasonable price for high-class tennis matches.
