NIN & Soundgarden in ATX - AMAZING

by Ednuh on 3/12/15Austin360 Amphitheater - Austin

This show was so great! Though I was toward the back of the concert area, I still got great sound quality. Watching these two bands back to back is indescribable. The energy was almost too much! I will remember this concert for years to come!

Sizzle and Burn - NIN and Soundgarden

by David0 on 9/21/14First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre - Tinley Park

On a mild summer Thursday evening in Chicago's suburban Southland, the bands Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden (both vintage 90s bands) proved to be this summer's Tag Team Champion. The night was perfect for rock concert goers, as the weather was cool and comfortable and the bands burned and sizzled throughout the night. Soundgarden started the evening with their supersonic sounds. This was a great warm-up to the evening as dusk settled on the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, IL. The venue seemed to be a decent location despite the fact that many missed the beginning songs of Soundgarden because of traffic that resembled a Friday evening in Chicagoland. Luckily, the parking lot is a short stroll to the Amphitheatre and even though the venue looks like a prison camp, as Soundgarden's leader singer Chris Cornell put it, the acoustics were clear throughout the theatre (even in the lawn seating). It seemed to be a great night as Soundgarden finished their set, but as dusk turned to night and Nine Inch Nails took the stage in the twilight (after only a miraculously short 20 minute set change), the concert got even better. In fact, NIN burned away any doubt that they are indeed the best live music act around. Mainly this is the case because of Trent Reznor's (the band's leader and founder) classic compositions and because of the band's unbelievable mature sound on stage. The theatrics, video effects and light show effects didn't hurt either. The crowd was in a tantric fury by the end of it all and the entire concert had well over three hours of music between the two bands for the price of one. It was the best opener you'll ever see and the best closer in the business all on one show. Soundgarden started the sizzle and NIN burned it away into the crisp cool night, making it one of the most comfortable summer nights in years.

No more Hollywood Bowl for me

by nossebleedtickets on 9/14/14Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Went to see Soundgarden. Nine Inch Nails was the headliner. Paid a lot for tickets before they were available to the general public, sat Waaay high up. It took the usher almost 10 minutes to find our seat. The crowd was mostly there for NIN. I have seen Soundgarden before, and they have put on a great show, but their time was limited and the crowd was not so appreciative. No encore. Trent Reznor was in good form. But we like Soundgarden more. As warned, it took an hour to get out of the parking lot. And another 20 minutes to get out of Hollywood.

    Soungarden rocked!

by Chrgarcia on 9/11/14First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre - Tinley Park

I was so happy to see one of my favorite bands Soundgarden. I was amazed at how good they sounded, they still rocked and put on a great show. Chris Cornell still sounds the same he did 20 years ago. Nine Inch Nails was good too, but did not enjoy as much. Plus, there was an annoying guy in front of us in pavillion, dancing errratically to NIN, almost hitting me a few times while flailing his arms around. We ended up leaving after about 5 songs partly due to this annoying person. Otherwise, great show!

    Amazing show

by Bromando on 9/10/14Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Great performance by both bands! Trent Reznor was killer and light show was very sick! I would see this shoe again and again! Hollywood Bowl is a great venue to see a concert!

    Trent Reznor is awesome!

by SomeHonkey on 9/9/14Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Great Show, Soundgarden was amazing, played the hits and only a couple new songs. NIN stage was constantly evolving as Trent Reznor has through the years. Good choices in set list, excellent performance and pacing. Wanted to jump in a pit, alas no moshing in a sold out Hollywood bowl, had to settle for jumping up and down in my seat.

Two of the best bands on the planet, rocking out like it was the last few days before armageddon. Chris Cornell and Soundgarden, Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails = God Level.
