About

Amaluna invites the audience to a mysterious island governed by Goddesses and guided by the cycles of the moon.
Their queen, Prospera, directs her daughter’s coming-of-age ceremony in a rite that honors femininity, renewal, rebirth and balance which marks the passing of these insights and values from one generation to the next.
In the wake of a storm caused by Prospera, a group of young men lands on the island, triggering an epic, emotional story of love between Prospera’s daughter and a brave young suitor. But theirs is a love that will be put to the test. The couple must face numerous demanding trials and overcome daunting setbacks before they can achieve mutual trust, faith and harmony.

    My least favorite

by tmlamar on 10/27/14Atlantic Station - Atlanta

I've been to about five shows of Cirque du soleil. Amaluna is my least favorite to date. I'll just give the pros and cons.. Pros, I'm elated they brought the show back to the tent in Atlanta. Makes the show feel true to form as a circus. Those seats however, aren't very comfortable but the ushers were really nice about letting us move to available seats once the show started. The visuals are stunning as usual on the stage and the live music always makes the experience worthwhile. The leaping lizard in the crowd, opening act spinners, the balancing lady and the juggler was great to see. Cons, the lady and pirate interludes seem inappropriate at times and somewhat annoying. They could have been much shorter or non existent in my opinion. Although, the acrobats are entertaining, it seemed like too much flying acrobatics and not enough variety with the acts in Amaluna compared to the other shows. Would I go see another Cirque du Soleil show? Probably. Would I go see Amaluna again? No.

    Amaluna is outstanding

by becks2posh on 9/20/14Taylor Street - San Jose

This show was EXCELLENT! The whole cast was great! The music is amazing and fits the show perfectly. I would highly recommend this Vegas caliber show that is easily a third the price!

    Not Good

by tiggerkenwood on 8/28/13Pepsi Center - Denver

This was not a "spectacular" show. I saw it in Denver. The tent was small, the area they were performing in (the stage and above the stage) was small, and inside the tent it was very hot, which made it difficult to get comfortable and watch the show. The story line was boring. It seemed more suited for little children then adults. And, I expected more daring aerial acrobats. There wasn't enough. The area looked too small for them to even attempt something complicated.

    Excellent show!

by seatab on 2/16/13Marymoor Park - Redmond

Amaluna was fantastic. The costumes and sets were beautiful and there really isn't a bad seat in the house. The performers were incredible, the lead woman was amazing. The performance with the balancing sticks leaves you wide eyed. Not much of a real story during the show, but storytelling isn't why I go to Cirque Du Soleil. I was disappointed in Cirque Du Soleil after the Michael Jackson show, but Amaluna has restored my faith in the company. Highly recommend.
