A fantastic balance of comedy and pathos------this should have run for years.Maybe next time!!
This was an excellent play. The cast members put on the show of their life. I would highly recommend Brighton Beach Memoirs. It was money well spent.
I canNOT believe this show has closed. I went yesterday, when I heard it was closing (I'd planned to come in December). It was fabulous! I dare say it was not given enough of a chance to generate the necessary buzz. I understand advance ticket sales were slow, but the (very positive) reviews had just come out. The actors in the two boys' roles were amazing -- and the whole ensemble was great.
This show was what great theater is all about. I'm so disappointed by the early closing because I'd see if again if I could.
This play was funny, and both my wife and and I enjoyed it immensely. Too bad that it's set to close early.
If for no other reason, go see it for Noah Robbins who stars as the lead - the 15 year old boy who desribes his life growing up in Brooklyn in the late 30's. He is masterful. The audience exploded in applause at the end. I can't believe that there is a rumor that the show is closing. Go see it before it leaves...it was probably the best play I have seen on Broadway in 10 years. Very funny - very moving.
A definitive production of an American masterpiece.
There is something for everyone to relate to, laugh out loud funny, excellent show.
The theatre was lovely, the actors remarkable and the dramatization delightful. .. Brought two young adults in their 20s who enjoyed the play as much as I did.
