    The Drowsy Chaparone

by jgainesville on 10/27/15Constans Theatre - Gainesville

I have attended many performances by the UF students at Constans Theater and they are wonderful. This performance was superior. The performers danced, sang and acted as if Broadway bound. I highly recommend attend the student productions.

    Drowsy Chaperone WOW!!!

    by JAX21 on 10/21/15Constans Theatre - Gainesville

What a great show, the cast was outstanding. The set design was true Art Deco. I felt like I had been transported back to the twenties. I look forward to seeing this musical again.

    This was high school theater?!

by Cokie61 on 4/9/14Five Flags Center - Dubuque

How refreshing to attend a high school performance that was so atypically high schoolish. The actors could dance (even tap!), sing, and, well, act! The costuming and sets were lavish and the performance flawless. The energy of these young actors was inspirational. Kudos to everyone who contributed to this show.

    The Drowsy Chaperone

by SSAR on 5/16/13Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

The Drowsy Chaperone was an excellent play with a very talented cast. The costumes and stage sets were beautiful. Clay Aiken did a great job as the old man in the chair. He brought the story to life as he remembered the events in the play.

    Best Show Ever

by MaryJoanne123 on 5/15/13Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

Totally loved The Drowsy Chaperone, saw it 5 times. Attended Friday evening and both the Saturday and Sunday afternoon and evening performances. Outstanding cast and was very impressed with Clay Aikens portrayal of "Man in Chair". His comedic timing was perfect and he was always in character. I cried 5 times at the ending, played perfectly, not over acted. Music and dancing were wonderful. Had not known much about the story prior to attending and found it engaging and drew me into the play. Overall terrific experience.

    Stellar production!

by Massfan on 5/14/13Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

This was a top-notch Broadway quality production of The Drowsy Chaperone. The cast was excellent. I loved being able to see Beth Leavel, in her Tony-winning role. And loved Clay Aiken's "take" on the Man in Chair role.

The Drowsy Chaperone is Song, Dance and Laughter

by Judeye58 on 5/14/13Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

We really didn't kinow anything about the show except it had won five Tonys, now we know why! and Clay Aiken was an absolute joy to watch! In fact we couldn't take our eyes off of him. And he also knew when to sit quietly and not mug. Everyone was wonderful, two hours of laughter, great song and dance....what else could one ask for. CLAY WAS AMAZING! Congrats to the whole troupe.

    The Drowsy Chaperone

by artquest on 5/14/13Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

Everything about this was first rate: acting, choreography, sets (amazing sets), costumes (even more amazing) and a witty and at times moving script. Beth Leavel showed exactly why she got a Tony (and everything other) award for her role as the Chaperone, but everyone else was great, too. Fabulous tap dancing and singing. Most surprising was Clay Aiken as Man in Chair. For long stretches, I forgot it was even Aiken. Really nice job, Clay. He and all those responsible are to be congratulated.
