We had to wait outside for an hour before getting into the arena and it started one hour late. Also, there were more acts than expected. the worst part was that Alicia Keyes only sung three songs and she was who I came to see.
The concert was good. The show was supposed to start at 8:30pm gate didn't get open until after 9pm then all the pushing to get inside. Each performer did 3 to 4 songs. Even though its for charity you still paying your money so the show should have been a little longer. The black violinist was amazing!!!
The show did not start on time. It was at least an hour and a half late. We were not notified as to what the delay was (which turned out to be waiting for the people who paid the big bucks to eat to finish eating). I dont mind waiting if I know why I have to wait. I would recommend the event but it has to be better organized in the future.
The waiting line to get into the Hardrock Hotel Arena was hectic, uncomfortable, and very displeasing. I will never attend a dinner/concert again, I attended this event with my mother, and all she did was complain which made me feel bad. Overall the beginning acts were too long and the wait for the beautiful Miss Alicia Keys was overbearing, BUT it is Alicia and she is my idol...so I can happily say I felt overjoyed and filled with excitement. It was my first time being in her presence, and I honestly feel it was a breathtaking experience to see her in person. She sings exactly like she does on her albums, and I love and respect this from any artist. I'd like to thank Alonzo Mourning for opening up his event to the public this year, it was an honor and privilege seeing Alicia Keys perform live.
Everything was good except the ticket said 8:30 but waiting to get tickets at 8:30 wasn't cool and then waiting on line until 9:20 until they open the doors.
Despite starting almost 2 hours late, the line-up was good. Alicia's performance seemed to be rushed. Overall I had a great time and will attend next year depending on the lineup.
The concert that was on the ticket to start at 8:30 did not. The venue did not let anyone enter to sit down until 9:15 and the concert did not begin until 9:35 PM. The headline was Alicia Keys which I was patient to wait to see her. After multiple warm-up acts finally Alicia performed. The venue has awesome sound system BUT she only played 3 that is right THREE songs only not even an encore for all of the waiting. If I knew that was all she was going to perform I would have NOT attended!
It did not start on time, but the show was really nice. Black Violin was off the chain. I enjoyed seeing the younger generation, particularly young black men, do their thing. Awesome! Wish Cee-Lo and Alicia Keys could have done at least 30 minutes each.
Absolutely amazing!! I took my sisters to this event not knowing exactly what to expect and we had such a great time. I love Alicia Keys. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was that she didn't perform longer.
A nice family type of event. Even had a half time showcase with a few stars.
