The boxing was awesome. The only problem was that there weren't any boxing cards distributed so you were unable to see the fighters and their information prior to their bouts.

    Gamboa v Ponce De Leon

by pinoysinAC on 9/12/11Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

The venue and organization of the event was quite nice and cozy, however for several of the fights (including the main event) there were questionable premature stoppages by the officials. I left the event feeling very disappointed. I wonder if it has to do with having stricter rules for stopping fights in atlantic city compared to las vegas?

    Great night of boxing!!!!!!

by Cubanborn87 on 4/1/11Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

I went to this event with my friends, drove all the way form north Carolina and it was definitely worth it. The under card had extremely competitive fights, the seats had a great view and what a great diverse and energetic crowd it was. Not to omit, it was an hbo event and the cyclone of Guantanamo gave us exactly what we were there to see, there were a total of 5 knockdowns and an extremely passionate and dominant performance from one of the most exciting boxers today. I hear Caesars is bringing him back in august on hbo. I can't wait to make the trip once again!!!!!!

Great night of boxing in a historic venue! Can't ask for more (except maybe a few more fair results..but that's the politics of boxing).

fantastic HBO boxing event in Atlantic City

by iloveboxing on 3/28/11Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

I've been to several boxing events this year. This event was the best of 2011. I seen alot of celebrities at the boardwalk hall. I met boxing trainer & legend Emanuel Steward , Former Boxing champion Roy Jones, & Champion Juan Manuel Lopez.. Atlantic City was jumping March 26, 2011. Attending these events is a time when you can socialize with other boxing fans. I met a fighter in the audience who was on the Zab Judah card. To all those considering attending a live boxing match It is an experince all boxing fans must experience.

Yuriokis Gamboa is one amazing fighter, Super fast. The question is, Can he handle the power of Juanma lopez. Most cuban fighters are trained for 3 rounds(olympic style) I have to admit he's the BEST i have seen in along time. I belive my boricua will take him out in the later rounds 8th.

    Gamboa put on a show!

by HoneyMuffinG on 3/28/11Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

This was a first for my husband and myself. We didn't know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. The fight was good, it didn't last long but everyone was anticipating a knockout and that is what Gamboa did! I just wish the Boardwalk Hall Arena was more visible as an out of towner it was difficult to naviagate where the building was.
