You Say Tomato was a funny spoof on Marriage

    by Brighteyes51 on 2/28/13CityStage - Springfield

The actors have a chemistry that comes off nicely on the stage. It does not matter if you have been married 5 yrs or 50 yrs. You can relate and you will laugh. The actors were fun and were perfect for the parts.

You Say Tomato, I Say You've Gotta See It!

Very entertaining to me, easy to relate to and my little lady loved it.

    Funny and well paced

    by PaperCity51 on 2/25/13CityStage - Springfield

Enjoyed the realistic humor. A bit formulaic in that the sex roles are reversed, but the insights into human relationships were well presented. Lots of laugh out loud moments. Perhaps the best moment brought out a complete groan from the audience as we reveled in the pain that the next scene was going to bring. Really good timing and acting.

You Say Tomato is very accurate

    by ComedyCritic2 on 2/25/13CityStage - Springfield

Excellent performance, so much fun with a great group of friends! We paid twice as much to see Kevin James in Vegas last month and he is nowhere close to as funny as Kevin Bartini! We were even allowed back stage after the show :)

    Funny or not

    by JO70 on 2/25/13CityStage - Springfield

I thought some parts were really funny. It was an ok show. For the price I paid for the tickets I would not recommend this show to friends. If I paid about half price for my tickets then it would be worth it. It was funny but it had potential to be really funny. I felt it was in the fair category. The females voice was at times a little off putting. I thought the male was more entertaining and funny in general.

You say tomato, I say Shut up!

by Anonymous on 2/25/13CityStage - Springfield

This play was absolutely hilarious. From the moment I sat down until way after I got home, I couldn't stop laughing. This play hit home for me, and probably many other married people. Even after the show ended, I replayed parts of it once I got home, and it still made me laugh and smile. I would recommed this show to anyone, who wanted a good laugh.

    At Times Boring

by HugeCCRFan on 2/24/13Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera Caberet - Pittsburgh

This is a two person show about a husband and wife and their differing views on life, love and romance. Both of the characters were made out to look like jerks during various times in the show in a very annoying way. At other times stereotypical behavior was used as humor but it was simply not that funny. I found the show to be, at times, boring and while there were a few good laughs there was simply not enough humor to fill the hour and fifteen minutes of the show. The plays "Defending the Caveman" and "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" dealt with similar material and were much more enjoyable and much more humorous.

    Not my kind of humor

by Tomoto on 2/24/13CityStage - Springfield

Not my kind of humor. But we enjoyed our date night. Writers/actors can't expect to please everyone. No fault on then for my humor preference.

    It was entertaining!

by Lizadt on 2/22/13CityStage - Springfield

They acted the whole time - no intermission! It touched on real life situations. Finally, it was funny and kept our attention!

You Say Tomato,I Say Shut Up

by nell19 on 1/10/13Squitieri Studio Theatre - Gainesville

The mediocre acting overshadowed the dialogue of the play. In addition to the lack of talent, many of the lines could not be heard. When the female character screeched some of her lines nothing could be understood.
