I saw them back in 2003 and would not dare miss them now. I'm a huge Paul Gilbert fan, it seems like the only time he comes to New York is when Mike Portnoy has a gig for him. Thanks Mike ;-)

we liked the concert a lot. The performers were awesome and so much fun. It is highly recommended to anyone who likes music and the beatles.
Four masters of their craft have come together to form the greatest band to perform Beatles music ever! Yellow Matter Custard, the brainchild of drummer extraordinaire Mike Portnoy (Drums, vocals, exDream Theater), combines the pop flair of the Beatles with the sheer talent of prog rock in the form of Neil Morse (guitar, keyboards and vocals, exSpock's Beard) & Kasim Sulton (bass guitar, vocals, exUtopia) and the precision of technical metal via Paul Gilbert (guitar, vocals, member of Racer X, Mr Big) while still remaining true to the source material. They covered close to 40 songs from throughout the Beatles catalog, even playing obscurities such as the instrumental Flying meticulously and faithfully. It's sad that They have only done 6 shows in the past 9 or so years, but all signs point to more great rock classics getting covered by Mr.Portnoy and his cohort of awesome musicians!
