The music was great! The venues were fantastic! The chair policy was insanely dumb. If you want to bring a lawn chair to Wiggins Park feel free! BUT, you have to pay to stash it to go into the Pavilion. So that you can RENT one inside the Pavilion. Silly, silly system.
Once again, the XPN Music Fest did not disappoint. An outstanding lineup of great musicians, and fantastic weather, made for a most enjoyable day for one and all.
The music was great, there were plenty of good food and drink options, the grass, in the lawn seats is thin, so not so comfortable to sit on a blanket.
The music was FANTASTIC -- The War on Drugs, Patti Smith, Kathleen Edwards, Jenny Lewis, Neal Francis, The Dip, The Suffers -- all GREAT! The Festival was extremely well-organized. The crowd was extremely polite, friendly and laid-back. A really great experience overall !!! WXPN continues to be one of the best radio stations in the U.S. !!!
We had attended many XPN festivals in the past, but we recently moved to Pittsburgh, so haven't lately. We only attended Saturday's performances, but loved being there! Wonderful to see the XPN hosts, especially Helen! The performers were great, and are some of our favorites! Nice crowd, too! Hopefully we can attend again in future years. Loved it!
Apparently, two of the four tickets I purchased for this event from Ticketmaster we’re fraudulent.Not very happy! With that being said Ticketmaster is working on possibly getting me a refund for two of the four tickets. That would be greatly appreciated!
Came for Lucinda Williams, a long-time favorite of mine who was excellent as always. Left a newly-minted Valerie June fan. Wished I could have left with a Valerie June CD, but there was very limited merch available for purchase. Great afternoon of music on a nice day.
Beautiful weekend with great music. The vibe at Wiggins Park was very relaxed and safe. However, the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion was pricey and the issue with not being allowed to bring in your own chair was disappointing. Also, Parking on Friday was a rip off because Live Nation made up their own rules about what was being charged at the lots that were supposed to be discounted for WXPN members. Overall, my hats off to WXPN for running a great festival!
Excellent festival! Great venue, wonderful artists, excellent weather, and even the food was good. A well organized and safe event!
Fabulous bands, well-organized event. Friendly folks. Great value for the money. Location was very convenient and the water view was a bonus. Could improve the options for food.
