Wu-Tang Clan on Tour

Considered by many to be the greatest hip-hop group of all time, Wu-Tang Clan have been touring as a unit since their debut record — Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) — came out in 1993. The now triple-platinum release vaulted the New York City group with songs like "C.R.E.A.M." (Cash Rules Everything Around Me) and "Protect Ya Neck" that are about as recognizable as anything in the rap canon.

Their live sets are a family affair, with every member of the crew representing their lyrical contributions to the Wu's eight studio albums, as well as notable cuts from the Wu-Tang solo discography. With the omnipresent Wu-Tang "W" flanking all angles of the stage, there's a familiarity to Wu-Tang Clan's music that gives their shows unique mass appeal.

Whether they're delivering the 36 Chambers record front to back on the album's 25th Anniversary Tour, or tracks from GZA's seminal Liquid Swords and Raekwon's mafioso-minded Only Built 4 Cuban Linx..., or honoring the legacy of their departed brother, Ol' Dirty Bastard, every Wu-Tang Clan show is a celebration of prolific careers as individuals and especially as the most storied group in hip-hop history.

Wu-Tang Clan Background

Founded in New York City's Staten Island in the early 1990s, the Wu-Tang Clan is comprised of members RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, U-God, Masta Killa, Inspectah Deck, Cappadonna, and the deceased Ol' Dirty Bastard (ODB). Their name is a reference to a 1983 martial arts film.

Led by the production of RZA, samples from martial arts films have thematically appeared throughout the group's music, as have samples of classic funk and soul tracks from artists like Rick James, James Brown, and Syl Johnson. As a group, Wu-Tang Clan have three platinum albums among their eight LPs, and the group's complete anthology (including solo albums) has more than 85 full-length releases. More than just rappers, Wu-Tang Clan are entrepreneurs and successful cultural influencers, with an empire that features everything from clothing lines and video games to books and acting credits.

    Awesome!

by Ameera on 10/25/23Climate Pledge Arena - Seattle

The Wu Tang was awesome. I traveled from Virginia to Seattle to see them. A dream come true. They are so energetic. Kept the crowd hyped. I was dressed like a ninja because I'm Muslim, in all black, so I fit in perfect. Lol. I've waited years to see them. Their music is a classic and will live on. There could never be another Wu Tang! And they all look good!

I bought the tickets for me and my son. I bought some awesome seats as we are both fans. Came in our ODB t-shirts. Now 1st of all the stage set up and the visual effects we awesome. Me and my son had a blast. Amd the YDB, he's right dead on to his dad. Nice surprise. And Nas killed it too. I'm most definitely happy I grabbed those seat and those tickets period.

    Couldn’t hear the words

by Max on 10/23/23Climate Pledge Arena - Seattle

Concert was good, showmanship and performance was great. Energy was good. Sound quality terrible, couldn’t hear the words to the songs at all. So much so that tons of people near me including people I brought simply left. Looking around the crowd it looked dead because we couldn’t understand what they were saying. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. Had these tickets for 5 months, bought them as soon as they were available. Was beyond hyped for this concert. Left it feeling disappointed.

    Wu Tang brings the noise

by ElderlySoiledPersonBornOutOfWedlock on 10/23/23Moda Center - Portland

Oooh aah, oooh aah. After 30 years does Wu Tang still got it? Yes they do. RZA oversaw the Clan and other Killer Bees smoosh together career highlights from every rapper. The show was cohesive, complete, and exciting. Special respect to YDB filling what would otherwise be a hole in the performance.

    AMAZING!!

by M rock on 10/23/23Climate Pledge Arena - Seattle

The show was spectacular!! I was and still am blown away at the level of production that was put into this show, it was outstanding!! The lights and huge screens made it unreal. Not to mention all of the incredible performers that were on stage together. I'm so thankful I was able to attend this phenomenal show with Master hip hop legends in front of me. I'm still on awe and keep watching my videos I took of the show everyday, I'm so happy I got to experience this! The minor complaint that I have is that the camera filming the artists obstructed our view a little bit but we were still able to see!!

Organic Hip Hop / Icons and Legends

by KJ on 10/23/23Climate Pledge Arena - Seattle

Overall a good time. People from all walks of life, ages and demographics were all engaged and happy with the show. I enjoyed seeing the icons on stage preforming and enjoyed the entire show. Not often do we get to witness hip hop icons preform in the NW and they didn't disappoint. Hopefully visiting the NW becomes a staple going forward for such tours!
