I contemplated asking for my money back.

by BPT6 on 3/15/16St. George Theatre - Staten Island

I'm a big fan of irish folk music and traditional irish pub music. In fact, I was familiar with many of the songs performed in this show. However, from the first number to the end, the overall performance was numbing. There was no life to the performance. Other that the 1 male step dancer, and the female acrobat, there was no excitement to the night at all. Not to say that the singers didn't have beautiful voices, but they were not powerful enough to carry over the musicians (who were all playing softly to begin with). Overall, I would not recommend this performance to anyone. Sad to say but I have attended an Irish Show similar to this at Busch Gardens theme park, and even that was 10x better than this.

    Not What We Expected

by Boogie69 on 3/7/16Eisenhower Hall - West Point

My wife and I were really looking forward to the show but felt let down. The song selections were not what we expected, the three sisters were decent singers but lacked range and didn't get you involved in any of the songs. The stage crew had a really off night with running the lights, highlighting performers and lowering and raising props from over the stage. The band was great, some of the dancing was good but show had some real quirks like 3 aerial performances during "Carrickfegus" "You Raise Me Up" and "Let It Be' which didn't make sense and was distracting. Never got the audience to buy into show. It was a very poor man's combination of Celtic Women and Riverdance that didn't come off. We paid only $40 per ticket so it wasn't a rip-off but they didn't inspire us either.

    Sophomoric

by Shillelaghtpa on 3/3/16Lakeland Center - Lakeland

In the literal sense. We felt like we were watching a high school play. The song where they wave flags like a school parade was just too much. The girls were pretty and seemed very nice, however they had no range of depth to their singing. It may have been the sound system, as I heard others complaining about the lackluster acoustics. Almost the entire first half of the show went by with no introduction, explanation or audience announcement. That came near the intermission. Odd. This is very little step, at least in the first half, all singing, a swing act and a violin solo. I wanted to like it, I just couldn't. I saw the person in front of us going in paid $45.00 for this show. If that were me I would of demanded a refund. We left at intermission.......fortunately someone gave us the tickets. The venue was empty, perhaps 1/5 full. That should of been a signal as to what was coming......

    Don't Miss This Show

by Billy1250 on 3/26/15McCallum Theater - Rancho Mirage

What a wonderful performance - we were enthralled and in awe at the beautiful orchestration, music, lighting, quality of dance, the singing and the dancing. It was an overall fabulous experience and we are telling all of our friends to not miss it. We felt so upbeat, happy and appreciative of these very talented musicians, dancers and singers. Very refreshing - go see it - 5 stars!

Worst show I have ever attended

by SojournerTruth on 3/17/15Popejoy Hall - Albuquerque

This show should be titled "The Grinning Irish Girls". It is reminiscent of an evening on the Lawrence Welk Show. The young lady singers are lovely, but there is something completely shallow and uninspiring about the songs, the choreography, the costumes, the sets, and the instrumentation. The trapeze artist (I am not kidding) is very good, but completely out of place. A few talented dancers give some relief. Other than that, it is a show that would be disappointing if it were a high school production. I cannot comment on the second half because I left at intermission.

Complete Waste of money for what we got

by PaulAlaba112 on 3/9/15The Peabody daytona beach - Daytona beach

Me And my wife decided we were going to go to this back in January. My mother-in-law also came along as i was treating them to a nice night out at this Event. My grandfather was irish so i felt this would show my wife what irish culture is like. Having not being to Ireland. She hated it and her mother hated it , I have read other reviews and they are right "Women of LA' Is right there was so little irish theme throughout. Was expecting a lot more from it. Not bad mouthing the musicians or the singers as they were very talented. Just felt the show was not as described. Wheres all the dancers that are on the cover???? DONT GO!!

by Anonymous on 2/28/15The Peabody Daytona Beach - Daytona Beach

the.worst.show. I have ever seen. I am still speechless about this so called concert. It was as if they didn't have enough cast so they just winged it. /we actually walked out of the show. Who told them that this is worth going on the road for/

    Not that great

by JohnRH on 2/28/15The Peabody Daytona Beach - Daytona Beach

While I suspect the songs were consistent with Irish tradition I found them to be too long and repetitious. They were not that good either. While I expected Danny Boy I did not care for the rendition but it was OK. Some songs seemed out of place also. There was a lot of tap dancing that I felt was overdone. It seemed to be filler. The gymnastic performer was pretty good but again, very typical and standard. Overall it was just OK, nothing spectacular, just OK.
