About

Wolf Parade's first full-length album, Apologies to the Queen Mary, was released to great acclaim in September, 2005. A pop/indie rock outfit from Montreal, Wolf Parade stand out for the unique, engaging vocal work of their two singers, Spencer King and Dan Boeckner, and the inventive instrumentation on many of their songs such as the use of a theremin (an unusual electronic instrument played by moving one's hands near its two antennas). The group has also won word-of-mouth support from fans through their engaging live shows, and have toured with such well known as headliners as Modest Mouse and The Arcade Fire. Living up to the anticipation and expectations surrounding their debut, Wolf Parade are one of indie rock's most exciting and promising new bands.

    Not The Same Anymore

by F. L. on 2/26/20Paradise Rock Club presented by Citizens Bank - Boston

The bassist dropped out of Wolf Parade recently and watching them preform live is not the same. The band still preforms with alot of energy and I still had a good time, but it was not as great as when they’ve preformed in the past with their bassist

loved the show, except for the fact that we weren't emailed the show was postponed for an hour until we arrived at the venue. as a working professional, it was a late night and an early morning for work.

    Classic and Intimate

by Jess on 2/1/20The Fillmore - San Francisco

Wolf Parade brought their best hits and new jams to the Fillmore. Their set was short but I appreciated the intermission-timed break rather than a phony “I’m gonna go off stage and pee and come back for three songs” encore break. They sounded fantastic and Dan was very engaging with the audience. I’ve been following this band for over a decade and am happy they are still as great as I remember from the first time.

Another Wolf Parade Show I'll Never Forget

    by Kyle82 on 11/15/10Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

In my humble opinion, these guys are the most exciting band today. Not only are their record's amazing, but their live performance is 2nd to none. They're humble and honestly appreciative. The amount of passion, energy and emotion they put into their shows is truly astonishing and Friday night's show in Atlanta was no exception. The boy's were in top form as they tore through their discography. If you have the oppportunity to see this band live, do yourself a favor and be there. It's incredibly inspiring to watch these guys play and you'll thank yourself later. My only wish is that they played longer. It's not that they played a short set; it was probably a little longer than the average show and I'm sure they were exhausted. Selfishly, I just didn't want it to stop; only a GREAT band can evoke that feeling!

I bought a wolf parade album in 2003 and always knew they had the sound i wanted to hear live. Nov. 12, 2010 Atlanta, Ga (7 years of dedicated listening) I brought a former band member and lover of music who had never heard their stuff. we were pumped from start to finish and i think he enjoyed it almost as much as i did. great set list, great energy, great sound... absolutely outrageous!!!
