I was a fan of Keegan-Michael Key from his work in MadTV and Key and Peele, but I had no idea what amazing acting skills he had. He slipped effortlessly into a number of roles with perfection and was, as expected, absolutely hilarious. He displayed quick wit and awe-inspiring improv skills as well. Bhi Bhiman was a delight - such an amazing voice. His music may not have been to my taste, but there is no denying the talent he has.
First off we ended up getting balcony seating for general admission prices. Keegan Michael-Key is absolutely hilarious and I hope he comes back to MN soon. This was the second Wits show I have attended and I really enjoyed both times. Well written material, talented musical guest, and super funny guests. John Moe is an unbelievable host, that man can work some radio magic on stage. If you don't at least see one Wits show, you're truly missing out.
The show billing and promotion was misleading. They should have called it OK Go with Hari Kondabolu. Hari only had time to do a couple of jokes from his routine, while OK Go played way too many songs for my expectations. The show organizers should have balanced the time better.
Hari and the guys of OK Go had a great time teasing each other and each had fantastic individual performances. The skits, WikiHow theater and various "commercials" had us laughing nonstop.
What a great evening! Great music and humor. I appreciate John Moe's wit. Pun intended.
Funny & witty entertainment! Neil Gaiman was dapper and charming as expected, and although I knew nothing about My Brightest Diamond I am a new fan, she blew me away.
This was my first time attending a Wits recording, and I really enjoyed it. Neil Gaiman was his amazing, creative self, and I enjoyed the various segments.
This was my second taping of Wits. Both shows were great, this one was phenomenal. Tapings of Wits are lots of fun.
It's no surprise this was Wits' 50th show! The Johns (Moe and Munson) always delight with their words and music. The guests were both fresh artists, one of whom I came to see (Kumail) and one of whom I had never heard (Valerie June). They each provided their own brand of humor with unique stories and perspective. The skits were so clever - I will never look at the "Wikihow" site the same again.
