Wing-a-palooza had the potential to be an awesome event but it was so poorly organized that it bombed. If they make some changes next year, I can definitely see this being an awesome annual event that I would go to. As it is now, it was a total fluster cluck...pun intended.
The first problem came right out of the gate, literally. No one organized anything at the door so people just started forming a line to enter the arena. The problem was they didn't open the Will Call booth until 5 or 10 minutes after that. So a lot of people stood in line for the arena, then were told to go back to Will Call for their ticket.
The second problem was that only half the floor space was reserved for the event. The other half was for a Pickle Ball Tournament which I had never heard of prior to this. This made the event seem super janky. They definitely needed more floor space because no one could tell what line they were standing in for each vendor. At one point, a table had two separate lines forming because no one knew where to stand. It was just a crowded mess of people bumping into each other.
Third problem, a few of the vendors didn't even show up until half way through the event. I can't even blame it on the restaurants that participated, the event was so poorly organized that it's very likely they were just given the wrong time or something.
I think the last and worst problem with the whole event was the quality of the chicken wings. I don't know if everyone was forced to make their wings from the same supplier but these were the smallest chicken wings I've ever seen. I've eaten at most of these places and I know for a fact they serve better quality food than this. Plus, you spent so much time in line waiting that you were lucky to have more than 10 wings at the whole event. The big draw for this was "all the wings you can eat" but I ended up going out to eat right after because I was still hungry.
Countless people asked for their money back on the Facebook page because it was so bad. I gave it 2 stars because I want them to actually get organized next year and make this into an event that will be worth going to.
