About

An accomplished songwriter and performer, Will Hoge is a 2013 Grammy Award Nominee for "Even If it Breaks Your Heart," a country song that he co-wrote for the Eli Young Band. His own single, "Strong," is featured in an advertisement for the 2014 Chevy Silverado truck. Currently on a solo tour that sees him taking the stage in intimate venues, Hoge has also supported notable artists, including NEEDTOBREATHE, Dierks Bentley and ZZ Top. During a concert, Hoge is known for playing a rich mixture of new and catalog songs and also prefacing many with humorous and personable dialogue that helps him effortlessly relate to every ticket buyer in the room.

Hoge's latest album, "Never Give In," is available on iTunes, and "Strong," the lead single, has already sold tens of thousands of copies. The album's title is inspired by a life motto that Hoge certainly puts into action every day, as shown through accolades earned despite momentary hardships, such as a severe scooter accident that occurred in 2008. It required several surgeries, plus intensive physical therapy, but Hoge has made a complete recovery. He's truly a man who wears many hats, having played as part of a band in the mid-1990s, then embarking on a solo career that still continues today. By using his songwriting skills to create hits for other artists and also signing a songwriting deal with BMG Nashville in 2012, Hoge continually demonstrates a high level of awareness about today's multi-faceted music industry, and more importantly, how to enjoy consistent levels of success.

    Go Hoge-Wild

by Kevin on 3/24/23Gramercy Theatre - New York

You'll bear witness to a great evening of Alt-Country and Americana with the double bill of Will Hoge and The Wild Feathers. Hoge comes from the Dylan/Van Morrison rocking side of confessional tunes and both he and his band deliver when it comes to dynamics. The songs at Tuesday's Grammercy Theatre performance ranged from introspective ballads to full-blown rockers and provided a welcome introduction to his overall sound and approach. Expect raspy Springsteen-esque vocals, clever wordplay and music that invites closer listening as well as foot-tapping and fist-pumping. Hoge opens on this tour for the Wild Feathers, easily the most under-appreciated band working in the country today. These guys are a melody machine, and their songs run the gamut, from romantic adventure to the endless horizons of road travel. Their harmonies echo those of all the bands they admire, from The Band to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Since they're comprised of three singer songwriters — Ricky Young, Joel King and Taylor Burns — their range is expansive. I'm particularly fond of the first and third studio records ("The Wild Feathers" and "Greetings from the Neon Frontier"), but each one of their albums (including the new "Alvarado") boast tracks that will have you coming back again and again. Live, these guys flex a collective instrumental muscle that you wouldn't expect, given the nuanced music that graces the LPs. They're charismatic and ferocious onstage (check them out live on YouTube), and they seem to genuinely love playing together. Oh, and those harmonies? Sweet as a southern summer morning. See them once, and you'll be wanting to bask in all they provide again and again. The records are great. Live is another level entirely. Go, Go, Go.

I have been a fan for years but hadn't had the opportunity to see Will Hoge live. This was the concert and venue to do it. It was simply amazing. The show was intimate and personal and I loved it. If I wasn't hooked before I am now.

I've seen Will Hoge perform many times, and he always delivers. I'm not sure how he does it, but he seems to give each gig an incredible about of energy. His smart, thoughtful lyrics and killer voice keep me coming back time and time again. He's a must-see for country/rock/folk fans and music lovers in general.
