The game was exciting, but unfortunately we lost. Defense and midfield played well, but what was wrong with the offense?
Womens Professional Soccer is a great value and venue. Very Fan and Family friendly and you watch some great soccer.
What happened to the Freedom? A bad hair day or what? They could not get any set plays to work. The defense worked fine. Sarah Senty had some fine moments. Sky Blue had lost to Freedom 3 times during the season but won when it really counted!! So happy for them. There should have been more concession stands. A great crowd. Very hot day. It must have been really hot out on that field!!!
The atmosphere was family oriented and intimate. The stadium gives a feel of a simple relaxed day not one of those events that you almost die to get into. Either way it was worth the time. Good performance by both Sky Blue FC and Washington Freedom. Best part, Freedom won and will be hosting a playoff game next Saturday.
A fun and exciting game! Some amazing footwork and team work on both sides. We were a bit disappointed not to see Scurry play but we did get to see many of the National Team players. Our cheap seats gave us a great view. Unfortunately the smell of the bathrooms wafted our way off and on through out the game. Bring something soft to sit on! Fans were fun and polite. The concession stand however was so poorly managed that they could not move the crowd in at reasonable fashion. We will be back! Maybe even season tickets!
Slow and sloppy first half, but exciting second half
Enjoyed the Freedom game against the Boston Breakers very much. First time to the soccerplex and it was very nice - seats were all good. The hill was also an enjoyable place to sit and an affordable option. Nice family atmosphere where lots of kids love soccer. Would go again - a bit of a drive through lots of traffic for us.
We bought the reserve tickets but once we got there the seats were very close together and we ended up sitting in the unreserved seats. If I were going to go back again I would just buy the unreserved seats because there was plenty of room and you could easily move around without distubing everybody around you.
Watching this sport live in person was exciting!!! Fast paced with no timeouts (unless an injury) during each 45 minute half!!! What a great opportunity to see the greatest Olympic and World Championship players the sport has to offer. That is what made this event worth 5 stars alone! The soccerplex was easy to get to via I270 and the parking/event staff were friendly and helpful. However, the current bleacher style seating should be upgraded to provide professional stadium style seating that this sport deserves!! And, include expanding the number of food choices, this could quickly become quite the washington area sports fan destination!!
