those 20 minutes are worth it. Much of the rest was still above average, the comedy and social commentary worked as well, but the arial performance is what sets them apart. They incorporate the rigging and the person manning the rigging into the performance, which was an intelligent decision, and they manage to appear to defy gravity even though their rigging is not hidden.
For me dance and entertainment is something that you do with your emotions. The direct contract to the standing ovation dancing only highlighted the fact.
This company combines hip hop, break dancing and modern dance along with rigging or wire work. They perform with beauty and grace and the trust between the dancers and the rigger is amazing to behold. We would recommend seeing them and we will be happy to attend another of their performances.
This was great all around. Small company of very talented dancers. Great music. Awesome choreography. My only complaint is that I wanted it to go on for much longer.
OK - so I haven't been to very many dance performances but out of ALL live performances I've been to in my life (Broadway, plays, artsy events, concerts), this is by FAR one of the best experiences of my life. The music was awesome and the dance was phenomenal. What Wang and Ramirez do is so light, so moving, completely mesmerizing. I loved their whimsical oration in the middle of it. Just an amazing event. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for giving me this experience
