Schoolhouse Rock great for all ages!

by VMAN1128 on 6/9/15Walnut Street Theatre - Philadelphia

I highly recommend School House Rock at Walnut Street - it was entertaining for the kids, but also highly nostalgic for the adults - taking me back to my youth on Saturday mornings watching the great cartoons that helped me learn grammar, numbers, social studies and science!

    Schoolhouse Rock Jr. Didn't

by jbb123 on 6/2/15Walnut Street Theatre - Philadelphia

While the caste and the music was very energetic and clever, the content failed to capture us. My grandson and I felt that we could have watched an episode of the old Electric Company or Sesame Street at home. As a seven year old he did not relate to many of the concepts such as how a bill becomes a law or the constitution or nouns or interjections.. Considering many of the children were also his age or younger, I wonder how much they got out of the presentation. We were happy that it lasted only 45 minutes.

My children thought it was great and funny.....great way to teach children about there nouns and things....my fifth grader thought it was cool every time a song was sung...she was saying mom I know this song and singing right along with it...my first grader enjoyed it just as much...the actors were really great that day....
