About

Based on the classic Disney film, Mary Poppins is the story of a mysterious nanny who magically appears at the Banks household in Edwardian London to care for Jane and Michael Banks. Adventure abounds as she whisks them away to meet dancing chimney sweeps, shopkeepers and an array of colorful characters. Featuring an irresistible story, eye-popping sets and costumes, breathtaking dance numbers and beloved songs such as the Academy Award-winning "Chim Chim Cher-ee," "A Spoonful of Sugar," "Feed the Birds," "Step in Time" and "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious." You'll have a "Jolly Holiday" with Mary and discover a world where "Anything Can Happen" if you let it!

Show was excellent however, it was very disappointing that we were told they were out of all programs, shirts and umbrellas. I really don't understand, there were still 3 more shows before the close and they were out of everything! Really not acceptable.

    Supercalifragilisticxpialedocious!

by ADAMSKAR on 1/6/15Walnut Street Theatre - Philadelphia

I took my 6 yr old granddaughter to see this fantastic musical. She loved it! I loved it! The beginning started out slow, but once it got going, it zoomed! Fantastic music and acting, and the DANCING! Although I love Supercalifragilisticxpialedocious (hope I spelled that correctly-I'm not wearing my t-shirt or carrying my tote to check), STEP IN TIME was my absolute favorite! I would love to see it again!

    Mary Poppins at walnut theater

by shadowflax on 1/6/15Walnut Street Theatre - Philadelphia

The actors were outstanding!! I was amazed at how well the children did and that they had as big as a part as the adults. The show could not have been any better. Very happy that we went to see this play in this theater.

    A fantastic show!

by JSP02 on 1/6/15Walnut Street Theatre - Philadelphia

This show pulled out all of the stops. The songs, costumes, sets, and dance routines were top notch. I was very impressed by the performances of the actors and the quality of singing and the music. Since I saw this show in a small theater, it was particularly easy to see the stage from wherever one was sitting.

I loved the entire production, from beginning to end. David Elder was a standout however the balance of the cast was excellent. I will never know how they can do 2 performances a day with such energy and devotion.
