About
GOOD PEOPLE takes you to Southie, a Boston neighborhood where a night on the town means a few rounds of bingo, where this month's paycheck covers last month's bills and where Margie Walsh has just been let go from yet another job. Facing eviction and scrambling to catch a break, Margie thinks an old fling that made it out of Southie might be her ticket to a fresh new start. But is this apparently self-made man secure enough to face his humble beginnings? Margie is about to risk what little she has left to find out. This new American play is a smart, funny and suspenseful story about people who succeed and the GOOD PEOPLE that help them do it.

by mcgluke on 4/30/13Walnut Street Theatre - PhiladelphiaThis is a one joke show. The acting was solid, but the story line too thin.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Wonderful performance
by Eagle75 on 4/26/13Walnut Street Theatre - PhiladelphiaThe lead actress was great. She deserves to be on Broadway
Rating: 5 out of 5 Excellent play...too funny!
by DrSR on 4/23/13Walnut Street Theatre - PhiladelphiaThis was an excellent production. It had been on my "to do" list for quite some time, and I was happy to have caught it prior to the last Walnut performance. If you need a good laugh this is the play for you. Warning - there is some swearing for those with sensitivities.
Rating: 3 out of 5by Anonymous on 4/22/13Walnut Street Theatre - Philadelphia The acting and sets were great, but I found the story less compelling than I had hoped.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Loved it!
by Clairsie on 4/21/13Walnut Street Theatre - PhiladelphiaI thoroughly enjoyed "Good People" .. and being from Boston, I found it extra special, since I was familiar with Southie and all the other places mentioned. I thought the casting was great (although I think they over-did the Boston accent a bit) and the story very touching -- sad as well as very funny. It is one of those great plays that stay on your mind long after the closing curtain.
Rating: 2 out of 5 Good People not so good!
by Lynn1717 on 4/6/13Walnut Street Theatre - PhiladelphiaPlay was rather weak; lead actress did not seem to fit the role.
Rating: 5 out of 5by Anonymous on 4/1/13Walnut Street Theatre - Philadelphia Excellent production. Acting was amazing. I would recommend it.
Rating: 2 out of 5 I didn't like the play
by positive12 on 4/1/13Walnut Street Theatre - PhiladelphiaThe only things I liked was very good acting by the person who played the female lead character, and the stage design. Other than that, the subject was based on pretty standard social class differences, and it was a pain in the ear to have to listen to south Boston accents.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Great acting
